For the dividend, I am comparing the current (just past) PBB dividend & upcoming MBB dividend, not full year dividend.
I stated MBB pays better than PBB. You know how to read or not ?

As for liquidity, more shares for similar price makes it even easier to sell as one gets almost 2 to 1.
If you have 200 shares of PBB to 100 shares of MBB for $800+ it is common sense you have most options with more shares.
$8+ for 1 MBB share is equivalent to about 2 PBB shares. You know how to count or not ?

I mention that for more depth and advice,
ask @AllYouCanBuy as he knows much more and can provide very accurate info.

@AllYouCanBuy own both shares and his conclusion is PBB is preferable over MBB. PBB is more cost effective.

What I said and what you thought I said are 2 different things.

BUT, MBB is at $8+ while PBB is at $4+, so PBB is abt half-price/50% of MBB.

And liquidity-wise, you get 2 PBB shares to 1 MBB share. Furthermore, should you want to sell, you can sell 1 & keep 1. Easier entry for PBB share at only 50% price of MBB.

Price appreciation-wise, it looks like PBB can gain greater price momentum upwards in long-term.

Conclusion, I think there is greater profit potential in PBB in the long-term. This is not a buy or sell call.

Participants, procedures, & processes evolve. Players/retailers play a part in this process to push the price up by what they do or not do. Aside from the performance results of the company/principal, the players include IBs, shorties, agencies/EPF, etc.

Since the drastic drop in interest rates, many depositors have become share retailers and this is the new normal permanently. Retailers will or have already become a major player with an over 40% - 60 % split with institutional funds. Over time it will become 60% retailer 40% institutional split.

So, just waiting for co.'s QR, and looking at IBs, shorties, agencies, and retailers buy & sell may work 40 years ago, but it is inadvertantly an unreasonable, unwise, and unworkable model and move to follow now in 2021 with our hard-earned money.

Now, you have stock platforms with chat forums - PBB to learn, share, and contribute.
Going forward will be to advance retail participation and power in driving prices forward.

2.9B, less now, and even selling every day will take 14 mths to clear all, if they choose to do it.

In its latest Global Economic Outlook (GEO) released today, Fitch now expects global gross domestic product (GDP) to expand by 6.1% this year,
revised up from 5.3% in its December 2020 GEO.

The rating agency said the main driver of its global forecast revision was the much larger-than-expected fiscal stimulus package recently passed in the US.

It said the US$1.9 trillion (RM7.81 trillion) price tag represents more than 2.5% of global GDP,

Growth in emerging markets excluding China is forecast at 6% ( up from 5% ).

Conclusion: More upside and upwards for M'sian and PBB shares.

@Alan Teh I'm a supporter & this is my opinion only. Probably, banks maybe rerated upwards by mid-3rd or early 4QR. If this happens, then more upside likely. TPs range from 4.80 - 5.00. My conservative opinion - guess is 4.70 - 4.80 but maybe I'm wrong. Maybe can hit 5.00 or more.
