Everyday is a T3 or T4 day and everyday also has some forced sellings, some day more, some day less. Dnex is good counter for long term, not good for contra, but still so many speculators, including some forumers playing contra on DNex.

Q2 is ending today, Q2 results will only be released in Aug. Expect Q2R17 to be much better than last quarter result, Q1R17. Don't compare Q2R17 with Q2R16 as Q2R16 includes a one-off non-operation gain of about 80 mil from Anasuria investment. Cheers.

After listening to the Marketplace Interview, I noted a few key points mentioned by the MD:

1. The production cost of oil from Anasuria oil field is at low 30s (US$ 30-33 ?) - this implies even if Brent crude oil price drops to US40, Dnex still making good profit from the Anasusia oil field.
2. Production of oil from Anasuria oil field only started in Aug 2016 and ontribution of profit (Aug-Dec 2016) from Anasuria oil field in 2016 was reported in Q4R'16 -- this explains why Q4R'16>Q1R'17) this also implies contribution of profit from Anasuria oil field will be much higher in 2017 compare with 2016 as the profit in 2017 will have contribution from Jan-Dec 2017 for 12 months.
3. MD is confident of an increase (growth) of at least 30% in the net profit for financial year 2017 on an increase of 20% from core businesses - this is consistent with what he had mentioned in the last AGM. Bear in mind MD is a conservative and very humble person, so the growth in profit this year may far exceed 30%.

Why must Dnex drops before it can surge? Dnex consolidated at around 0.40 for about 1 month from early Mar, then it suddenly started surging in early April and went up to above 0.60 by late April.

No need to overly worry about dip in Brent oil price. O&G business currently only contribute about 30% of Dnex's profit. The dip in crude oil price in June will not have much impact on the Q2R (Apr-Jun) results as the oil price of the 1st 2 months (Apr-May) still above USD50. TA Research has mentioned in its Report on Dnex after TA Analyst attended the recent Analyst Briefing hosted by Dnex Management, profit margin from IT related businesses of Dnex has expanded & increased significantly. So we can still expect good Q2R due in August, which will serve as a strong catalyst for Dnex share price to go up. Cheers.

Haha....If I remember correctly, CIMB only gave a target price of about 0.45 for Dnex 2 months back, in Apr. Now they raised the TP to 0.72.

Where got 30%, Dnex only owns 50% of PING Petroleum, so 50% of 30% is only 15% lah.....

Datuk Samsul is the Executive Deputy Chairman of Dnex and the big boss of Censof. After acquiring the 1,000,000 new ESOS shares Datuk Samsul now indirectly holds 17.13% of Dnex shares, 2nd largest shareholder after the MD, En Zainal Abidin who indirectly holds more than 23%. If I understand correctly, the 17.13% Dnex shares indirectly held by Datuk Samsul are the same Dnex shares owned by Censof. Pls correct me if I am wrong. Cheers.

This morning Dnex son's traded vol so far is abnormally high comparing with mom's traded vol. Have not seen this for past 2 months. There are 2 possibilities, either due to genuine heavy taking profit before Hari Raya, OR due to big players controlling the price to collect at 0.30. Last Friday Dnex closed at 0.58, this Friday Dnex closed at 0.59, still up 1 sen for the whole week. Is it considered downtrend??? I am still very optimistic and have full confidence in the Management under good MD. For the past 2 days, market sentiment bad because of US increase in interest rate and plunging in crude oil price. Why not?... if mom can go to 1.50 before son expires, son can even go to 1.00 as the conversion price is only 0.50. Maturity date for son is 30 July 2021, more than 4 years from now. It is possible for mom to go to 1.50 or even higher in 4 years time, by Sep 2021 if the company keep expanding and growing. It is not a dream....the dream can come true. Cheers.

This morning's tradings for Dnex & son looks quite similar to tradings for Dnex & son on 2 May. Hopefully, this afternnon Dnex & son will repeat similar trading patterns on 2 May afternoon. On 2 May, Dnex closed at 0.61, up 5.5 sen and son closed at 0.335, up 4 sen. Cheers.
