joryus4855. I had a browse with your previous comments. Seems like many cut loss. While KLSE overall sentiment bad and expects to continue into 2022, what we should do is to evaluate our past actions and evaluate how we could improve in future. Life is a journey of continuous learning and only when we realise our mistakes, we could improve our future performance.
My guess is that you always buy top volume stocks. You would know better the winning rate right?
Why not buy stocks with fundamental?
Go learn from grand pine Alfred Chan. His advise is good.

Insas shareholders, do correct me if i am wrong. Just a brief observation from data above. Insas's other businesses are making money in 2018/2019 of at least 40m on top of Inari dividends. However, 2020 and 2021, actually other businesses are losing money? About 20m losses in 2020 and actually worsen to more than 50m in 2021? If my observations are correct, then Insas's shareholders need to ask, whether the trend is temporary or long term? Eg. share broking deteriation in profit likely gonna be long term (brokerage as long as RM100 max for Rakuten. Broking house is making money not from brokerage nowaday)
Moving forward, Insas has any profitable business apart from Inari? If Inari is the only profitable investment, does it justify paying millions every year for overheads on operations?
Just my opinion for you to ponder

SSlee. Your best friend CEO refused your dividend proposal? I would like to know what you think of it?
Many well managed companies now have a clear dividend policy. I could understand a high growth company not paying dividend but Insas?
Any logic for keeping all the funds? So can put in FD for 2%? Or actually another Inari gem identified? If your best friend CEO got insider news, please pm my inbox

Typical Sarawakian chinese boss mindset. You pay peanuts, you get monkey.

UOB report is outdated. SK3000 pipelaying vessel has been sold. The report said not yet. Kasawari will never go to Sapura. Only MMHE. People who understands O&G will understand why.
Anyway, i am buyer today at 0.05 - 0.06. QR will be out by month end. I expect improve performance.
Yes, Sapura expanded too aggressively during Tan Sri tenure. The current CEO will be more prudent and conservative. Don't you see the old management team has been replaced gradually?
While the short term outlook is not positive, 0.05-0.06 in my opinion is ridiculous for the biggest O&G player in Malaysia.
People are willing to value Chef Karim SD restaurant more than Sapura? That's illogical

Windy1974 Promotion time since JAKS is so boring. KLSE is dead and i expect this situation to persist into 2022. With the revision in stamp duty, pump and dump syndicates will face harder chance to cari makan. Cos creating volumes will cost them dearly unlike previous. Personally, i am glad. Cos it means less speculation and more investment. Do go and listen to grand pine Tan KW. He is a very good, conscious guru. I understand he is not Malaysian? So sad we need a non Malaysian to teach us about share investment.
I bought into Dayang today and added more on Hibiscus. Both O&G counters. I am in O&G so i know a recovery is imminent. Hibiscus turnaround in profit will be significant from 2022 first quarter and Dayang would see recovery by 2nd Q 2022 latest. I don't foresee Dayang could scale new heights in profit of 2019 but we started at a low base with 0.83 and a market cap less than RM1B. The added bonus for Dayang in 2022 onwards is the demise of Serba. Only 3 companies could fill the vacuum left behind when Serba goes bust. Dayang, Petra and Sapura. I bet Dayang gonna get the biggest share of it. Of course, we are not talking about RM7.7B orders. But addition of RM100-200M contract a year possible.
In no mood to write further. Happy investing

Let me promote a bit to INSAS shareholders since you are looking at value.
YTLREIT. The management decides to delay rental payment instead of outright discount. Now, this is what i call management integrity. YTL bosses can easily justify a rental discount as it's the norm but they didn't. So, from mid 2022 onwards, i can expect 8 sens dividend for at least till 2025. Thereafter 7 sens if no rental increase. At RM1, it's 7% yield. Good for retirement passive income.
Now, you don't have to sell your Insas to buy YTLREIT.
Now, as the famous saying, i don't need you to push up YTLREIT, i am just helping you haha

Can the majority shareholder exercise the warrant and exceed the 33% treshold and trigger MGO?
Actually trigerring MGO is not an issue, the issue is can minority shareholders stop an unfair MGO?
Many investment banks always wrote, unfair price but at the end minority still no choice when acceptance could trigger delisting. We won't wanna hold on to a privatise shares right? So, this is a general discussion instead of targeting at INSAS.

SSlee. Yes, JAKS could be a value trap. Since you touched on this topic, i would like to comment on your Insas too since i could see that you believe in it a lot? It's not to bash Insas but giving you an objective perspective.
I didn't study Insas in details but i guess the arguement to buy Insas is because the net asset is worth easily RM2 to RM3 vs current share price of less than RM1? Now, that's more than 50% discount and look like a no brainer. However, the share price higheest was only 1.20 in the last 5 years? Now, i had invested in such companies before and would like to share with you my learnt lesson.
Let's give you an example. In my town, there are many 2nd generation rich which liked to brag about their father's fortune. Unfortunately, those riches are NOT theirs, until the father died. Worst, if after father died, mother controls assets.
So, these 2nd generation rich are actually earning a meagre thousands every month and probably wishing their father dead.
I would say Insas would be the same. Why RI when the company so rich?
You were bashing JAKS RI, rightly so. Isn't Insas worst? Yet you are still holding their shares? To me, waste of time.
Well, i HOPED JAKS different. We all hope right...

Sslee Just a curious question what if ALP refuse to give dividend and press down the shares price in order to give himself the free shares grant under LTIP to save on paying income tax. Will JAKS become a value trap?

RM1? RM1.20? You will be the next Tobby and Apple168 keep coming back to this forum to talk down Hibiscus share price. How much is your trading profits as a newbie since 2020 when you had nothing else to do but play with stocks?
The O&G has been under invested since 2015. The activities started to recover in 2018 slowly and that's why you saw O&G counters boomed in 2019. Then, Covid came in 2020 and everything came to a standstill again. So, another 2 years of delayed investment decisions again. Now, with our world going into green energy (which i fully support cos we only have 1 earth), most banks reluctant to be seen supporting O&G loans. So, many more years of under investment and what this gonna do to the supply side? I don't need smart Harvard graduated investment banker to know the answer because i am in this industry.
If you don't know how much Hibiscus is worth and your only buy and sell guidance is the flip of a coin or your feelings, i suggest you buy unit trust and let the agent make the commission and fund managers make the management fee out of you. Still, that's gonna be better in the long run than you flushing your money into toilet.
As highlighted by some forumers, Hibiscus and Sapura Energy are the only 2 pure oil play benefiting from high oil price. Unfortunately, Sapura Energy is burdened by previous bad investments and decisions. With the new ex Shell Anuar, things will change for the better. Another game changer will be the Jerun CPP now under construction by MMHE scheduled for 2023. That's another 1.5 years away but i have bought some Sapura in case i no longer can get 0.11 by then.
For O&G service providers, don't be overly excited. Recovery in 2H of 2022 possible for well managed companies like Dayang

I am not an accountant but businessman. The only financial valuation i know is PE. When i acquire properties, how i know it's a good buy? I look at what other similar properties are selling. If below market average, no need think just buy. My only loss making property investment is in Australia and that's because i bought just based on trust and didn't do my research. Mistake learnt.
I expect Hibiscus to earn at least RM60mil a year with oil price in that range. So i am fine with a PE of 16 to 18. It's not cheap if they only made RM60m but not excessive. Of course, if you wanna be more detailed, compare the average PE of regional peers etc. I won't bother cos as i said, i bought in again substantially because of Repsol. I believe RM200m annual profit is not exagerrating with Repsol production at above USD60. Of course, if many rights issue with dilution, defeat purpose. But the share dilution gonna be minimal

However, what people don't realise is that the journey towards green energy could only prop up energy prices. That would be the case until our world could find an efficient green energy source. I am long term (gonna hold more than 5 years unless some unprecedented events happened) in Hibiscus. First time i owned this stock was when it bought Shell's Sabah assets at a bargain. Average cost RM0.40 and sold at RM1. Looking back, i should have hold longer then. Hopefully lesson learnt.
Now, without Repsol acquisition, Hibiscus is already worth RM1 at average USD60-70 oil price. It's the Repsol that prompted me to acquire more Hibiscus and i have owned Hibiscus since the announcement at average 0.71 cost then.
My company has dealing with Hibiscus. I would say overall it's a cost effective and efficient operator. Otherwise, their opex won't be so low.
Chart wise, after Hibiscus broken 0.785, the next range should be 0.80-0.90 already. The probability of that happening is high. Even if not, i ain't worry cos i know it's worth.

How much TG share price should be rely on TG future earnings. TG not a goreng stocks and manipulators won't goreng a stock with such market cap. TG had an exceptional year in 2020 and 2021 4 QR. Ask yourself, when things normalised, how much could TG earn? While i don't know glove business well enough to give comments, TG QR over the last 10 years should give a hint. Then ask yourself, what PE you are willing to pay for a company like TG? Before pandemic, best year TG made around RM600mil. At current price, it's still trading at PE30? You willing to pay PE30 for TG? If they can earn RM1b, then PE21 at current price which is more reasonable.
How much you think TG will earn in 2022 onwards?

Wikipedia definition of racism. Let's asked ourselves honestly, are you?
When you don't exhibit any below, now you can start point fingers

Racism is the scientifically false belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits corresponding to physical appearance and can be divided based on the superiority of one race over another.[1][2][3][4] It may also mean prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against other people because they are of a different race or ethnicity.[2][3] Modern variants of racism are often based in social perceptions of biological differences between peoples. These views can take the form of social actions, practices or beliefs, or political systems in which different races are ranked as inherently superior or inferior to each other, based on presumed shared inheritable traits, abilities, or qualities.[2][3][5]

In terms of political systems (e.g., apartheid) that support the expression of prejudice or aversion in discriminatory practices or laws, racist ideology may include associated social aspects such as nativism, xenophobia, otherness, segregation, hierarchical ranking, and supremacism.

While the concepts of race and ethnicity are considered to be separate in contemporary social science, the two terms have a long history of equivalence in popular usage and older social science literature. "Ethnicity" is often used in a sense close to one traditionally attributed to "race": the division of human groups based on qualities assumed to be essential or innate to the group (e.g. shared ancestry or shared behavior). Therefore, racism and racial discrimination are often used to describe discrimination on an ethnic or cultural basis, independent of whether these differences are described as racial. According to a United Nations convention on racial discrimination, there is no distinction between the terms "racial" and "ethnic" discrimination. The UN Convention further concludes that superiority based on racial differentiation is scientifically false, morally condemnable, socially unjust and dangerous. The convention also declared that there is no justification for racial discrimination, anywhere, in theory or in practice.[6]

Racism is a relatively modern concept, arising in the European age of imperialism, the subsequent growth of capitalism, and especially the Atlantic slave trade,[1][7][better source needed] of which it was a major driving force.[8] It was also a major force behind racial segregation especially in the United States in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries and South Africa under apartheid; 19th and 20th century racism in Western culture is particularly well documented and constitutes a reference point in studies and discourses about racism.[9] Racism has played a role in genocides such as the Holocaust, the Armenian genocide, and the genocide of Serbs, as well as colonial projects including the European colonization of the Americas, Africa, and Asia as well as the Soviet deportations of indigenous minorities.[10] Indigenous peoples have been—and are—often subject to racist attitudes.

REIT is boring and it's for passive investors like me who long for dividend income. You can diversify your REIT portfolio into different REIT segments. (or countries) YTLREIT is my favourite REIT in Malaysia due to owner's integrity, travel segment (i believe in the long run travel segment will flourish. As per Jack Ma. Not so sure about shopping malls) and relative high dividend yield in 2023 onwards.
YTLREIT holders are gonna benefit from the extra income for delayed rental for the period of 2020 - 2023. We are gonna get a gross yield of 4% this year? How much are you getting for FD? i don't know since i don't have money in FD.
Potential share dilution indeed is possible. However, as per the management advise, it's gonna be income generating assets. Yield will only be affected when incoming acquisitions are getting less favourable yield than current assets. From YTLREIT track records, i doubt this will happen. Hence, worst case scenario, same yield.
As for the large fund queuing 5+mil stock, let's not read too much into it. Buy q and sell q could be a guideline but not definitive. Only top 26 shareholders can q so much and they are either YTL affiliates or unit trust. I would say you won't q 5mil on board for such illiquid counter to scare off buyers.
I managed to buy average less than 200k shares per day by queuing huge sell q. It was to scare sellers

While i don't know how much longer commodities gonna run, probably a lot longer. I won't buy below 3 companies because of these reasons. I understand Calvin logic behind buying these companies, which should have lower PE i presume? Sorry, i didn't study in details and just a quick guide.
1. I presume THplant and FGV both GLC? 1 rule i have is not to touch GLC if i am looking at long term investments. I believe you have seen enough scandals with GLC to know why? Even i got the privilege to run GLC, i don't mind doing it for free cos i will become very rich anyway wink wink
2. Jtiasa. Cautious with 2nd generation successors. Few succeed (eg YTL) but majority are embroiled in power struggle. When everyone is busy with politic, you think they got time to care for the long term well being of businesses? That's why i miss Dr. M. From my memory, his dictatorship period was the best economically for Malaysia. Changing PM every year won't bring Malaysia anyway, no matter who the PM is.

Now CPO price has gone into World record high

Remember you did very well buying Hlt during Glove Bull?

Now Paktua73 must not miss Palm oil bull run

Go buy Thplant, Jtiasa or FGV now

Calvin. Then you are using your logic and not hearing God's voice in your quiet time. Bible told me to be careful of those who claiming to be his disciples (from their life, not their words. Since i don't know you, i can only judge by your words. Though i find no flaws in your claim that palm oil price is high, i once highlighted few months back when you were promoting Jaya Tiasa that i disagreed with buying Jaya Tiasa while i agreed plantation could be good buy? I stated my general observations too.
Btw, Jaya Tiasa bosses are mainly Methodist from Sibu.

i agree with you plantation companies in general will report improve profits. Even the badly managed one. Only a blind man won't see that.
Is it cheap? So what's cheap? For me, i would first look at historical PE plantation stocks have been trading at? By comparing plantation stocks PE and technology stocks PE, it's like comparing apple and orange.
The fact is, can palm oil price sustain? I believe so, at least till 2022 if the reports i read are correct. Then again, same for gloves counters earnings growth in 2020?
But i detest people quoting their god in their sharings on profit to convince people.
Elijah was a holy man and his life was about serving and not profiting. You would be another one who gonna claim "i don't need the money, i am just helping you" right?

Be very careful when anyone quote from his religion. Either he is a Christian, Muslim, Buddhist or Hindu.
I have seen many such men in my life time.
BTW, i am a Christian.

Insas WC has an exercise price of 90 sen and 2026 expiry. Warrant is a high risk high gain instrument which complement your portfolio and should not constitute more than 5% of any portfolio in my opinions. Of course, if one is to gamble then it's different matters.
