Many here are gamblers, please skip my post. It's meant for those who believe Armada is a long term investment.
I talked to a Singaporean businessman who supports FPSOs equipments few months back to understand the FPSO landscape. After the meet up, i have taken off Armada from my stock watch list.
To cut the story short, Armada has little chance of gaining future FPSO contracts. At least with current management. Have you heard them bidding for new FPSO or any updates on future prospects?
Of course, even if no new contracts Armada still worth something. For you to decide how much it's worth. Just that it won't be something i would keep for 5 or 10 years.

As of 2023, i know many cancelled their new car bookings based on latest CPO price. 2021 and 2022 were good years for palm oil but if the price can't sustain, it's just a consolation for the depressed price since the last 12 years. I am no expert in palm oil. One need to understand very well the long term price direction of palm oil in order to make successful investment and not just look at the past

Indeed plantation is gold mine. Many plantation holders changed cars in 2022 because of the exorbitant profits they made. I was presented with a plantation for sale in 2018. After doing some research, based on the price then, i should get a return of 5% per annum on my investment based on the asking price. Now, i better put in bank for 3% and no headache la. Plantation owners are some of the richest guys in Malaysia but that's because they ventured into it 25 or 30 years ago. If i could buy plantation lands or plantation companies at 25 years ago price, do let me know ya

My answer RI for Dato' Sri Thong and PAC to hold warrants as defensive tool yo prevent hostile take over.
In order for below arguement to have valid ground, 1 need to check what is the current shareholders holding structure. If Insas's shares are owned by a few major shareholders, only then Dato needs to be worried. Eg. I approached top 10 shareholders and could own more shares than Dato after i bought over their shares. Then again, if Dato exercised his W in such case, the hostile takeover also can exercise his W right?
Now, if Insas shares are spread among many retailers, then Dato needs not worry about hostile takeover. Just your holding already take 1 month to sell or buy. Any major hostile moves can be easily detected and countered.
My arguement valid?
Note: Dato' Sri Thong and PAC hold 32.96% and any buying of Insas share will trigger the 33% threehold of MGO

Any belief which could not be verified methodically considered FAITH?
How to quantify my belief that Sapeng would be ok eventually? No. It's faith
How to quantify CapitalA would be ok eventually? Faith.
Your Insas? Faith on Dato?
Why so many people got scam by FB investment scams on promises of high return? Faith
Why so many people believe Armada issues just hiccup? Faith
How many people who bought shares really know the inside out? How well you know the industry? Not to mention the management in the company.
Our final financial results will depend on how accurate our FAITH is. That's determined by IQ and life experiences.

Correction. I sold most of my AA at 0.80 and some at 0.795. While Sslee sold his JAKS at 0.22, i bought more yesterday at 0.22. JAKS first meaningful resistance at 0.24 which would be broken easily with volume. If i wanna take profit, it will be 0.24.
I am indeed the proud owner of Sapura Energy shares sitting on a paper loss of 33%. I either gonna lose 60% of gaining 300% in 1 year period.
As for AA, i don't think it could drop below 0.70 unless share market turns negative. Then other stocks gonna suffer anyway

Windy1974 sold his CapitalA on 13/4/2023 morning at 80.5 cents for some trading gain. He will trade again when opportunity arise. Me sold some of my jaks at 22 cents for some trading gain too.
By next week most likely CapitalA will drop below 70 cents and someone will look at book lose instead of book gain.

Good morning CharlesT. I don't normally respond to non sense. I respond to you because i reckon you are an intelligent fellow. I could understand why you or SSlee picked on Philip. His words are harsh and he is cocky as hell. He once belittled me when i jokingly said i would be willing to become JAKS CEO with a 500k salary. He only shut up when i said i was JAKS top 30 share holder.
Have i changed my opinion about Philip? No.
Would that changed my opinion that he is good at investment long term? No.
Your personal emotion should not affect your judgement of a person. If you do that in your career or business, you won't excel.
Funnily, i believe Philip kept attacking Insas because he cared about SSlee

Now, i am thinking from a selfish businessman perspective (That's me, correct). Anything uncertain/risky, i would park under my listed company. Sure money making, of cos under my Sdn Bhd lah. Now, if by chance the risky investment become a gem, what would i do? Simple. If i currently owned 30% of my listed entity, i would just buy another 3% and then activate MGO and try take the company private? Of course, whether my offer price will be accepted or not by share holders another issue? If i know my listed company is worth RM3, it's a no brainer i would pay RM1.50 to take it private. That's what happened with many KLSE companies with analysts saying "unfairly priced" but so??
If you believe a company is worth RM3 and the major holder is not offering RM1.50 to take it private, what can you conclude?
My conclusion
1. He is Jesus
2. It's not worth RM3

From what i know, they are 3 reasons why owners wanna list their companies in KLSE.
1. Majority of KLSE companies. It's an ATM machine to suck out suckers for their KTVs, super cars (1 KLSE director is proud owner of more than 1 bugatti. The company every year lose money)
2. Exit strategy. The owner believed growth potentials are limited for the company. Eg Creador? But VC fund always set a time frame for exit
3. Seeking public funds for expansion. I would say owners/companies in this category are the minority.

Morning Sslee. My analysis of you. Brought up in poor family (Who wasn't in the 60s?). Apart from typical value of hard work, your parents uphold certain moral values which were instilled into you. (Honesty, doing good)
You have worked hard your entire life, hardly being on the wrong side of law (no bribery meh? Sure? Don't worry, i won't judge) At the stage of your career where your experiences are valuable but most of the time you are free. Hence, you started to pick up shares out of boredom. Typical engineer, always believe in calculations. If kena angkat, high possibility to lose his judgement. Probably save more than 80% of his salary. Still wearing clothes bought more than 10 years ago. Should be earning more than RM40k a month currently but the most expensive car he had would be less than RM150k

However, it won't happen because Insas has no volume. 1 crucial criteria for me on which counters to buy is daily average volume. For once i am supporting SSlee's counter. (was my counter once)
I have just allocated 2% of my funds into JAKS at 0.19. I didn't realise JAKS market cap was only 400mil. Now, even with this lousy CEO, i believe very hard for JAKS to make less than 30mil a year. However, what triggered me to buy was the fact that the pp was with Kenanga. The same company that issued CW on JAKS 2 years back and made a killing from it. I checked, no more CW on JAKS. Now, that's a good sign to me.
I have to restrained myself from being trigger happy now that i have almost 30% in cash and i need to refrain myself from allocating more than 10% into speculative stocks. I consider this 2% as speculative.
Sadly, DK66 was spot on about power plant profit but forgot to factor in other factors. Accountants can't factor in human factor. The CEO remains the lousy CEO. If i could garner 50% shareholders support then i will buy 5% of JAKS to be your useless CEO to eat eat drink drink. I promise i am not gonna spend more than 1mil a year and apart from Hai Dong, no more new ventures.

Hi SSlee. My guidance in spending and investments are based on %. I studied investment and financial planning in my 20s. As per financial planning, you could allocate maximum 10% of your investment in speculative stocks for higher than average gains. I knew this theory in my 20s but then it had always been 100% speculative stocks for me. I wanted fast money, can't wait. Well, my ending was obvious. Not only did i lost 100%, i was in debt of RM200k before i was 30 years old from contra loss.
That was then. As of now, my equities consist of 60% in REITs with an average yield of 6% nett. 30% cash (Since i believe market would go lower), and 10% in stocks i won't yet consider speculative (Even CapitalA).
You raised valid arguements, i didn't bother to look into it. And i won't insist that CapitalA would get out of PN17 unscathed. I bought CapitalA for few reasons below.
1. I have traded CapitalA or AA for at least 6-7 times to date without a loss. Holding time frame range from weeks to 1 year plus and minus. % gain from 2% to more than 100%. It seems to be my lucky counter.
2. I am prepared for a loss of 40%. As for gains, depends on how well the regularization is.
3. Short term, CapitalA's profit growth only gonna continue. (i paid double for my Dec 2022 and Dec 2023 Japan trip compared to before pandemic)
4. I like the fact that regularisation plan is months away. That's when volatility is high.

Philip's latest blog resembled so much of my own 29 years journey in stock market investments. I tried very hard to share with my friends so that they won't repeat my mistakes but now i would just share and refrain from going further. One time, i tried to "rescue" a friend from going into forex trading since i had been there and done that before. He was so convinced that making quick profit was so easy in forex that i told him let's start small and let me know the results in 6 months time. When i asked him after 6 months, he just kept quiet and i am glad he never shared about forex anymore thereafter. Super smart people learnt from others mistake. Smart people learnt after 1 mistake. Average people like me learnt after multiple repeated mistakes. Dumb people never learnt and blamed it solely on others. These people are destined to fail in life.
I have decided to refrain myself from i3 because this is a toxic place. My last advice to you.
1. Don't trust someone just because they sound nice or say they looked after your interest. (In fact, anyone who said they look after your financial interest must be a con) My ex boss was very nasty on words but he is one who honoured his words and took care of his employees. Anytime, i would choose him over those mild mannered but cunning bosses (The question is could you discern or not?) Of course la, the best boss are mild mannered and genuine. (I only know one, that's me. If you wanna join my organisation, please email me at suckers@suckers.com)
2. There are undervalued companies in share market, but you won't have a chance unless you are in that industry. Understand what you invested. Philip screwed up on Serba because he wasn't in O&G. I knew because i got market infos, he doesn't. The most infos he got probably from Serba employees, which was already a big mistakes.
3. Stop wasting your time in i3. No sifus here are looking after your interest. You think they are jesus? If anyone claimed in the name of religion, either Christianity, Buddhist or Islam, then stay a mile away from them. Any religion or preachers who tell you to make money must be a con. Go listen to Grand Pine Alfred Chen, he shows you proper investment in proper companies. He was a trader too and he learnt. I believe he is here in i3 as Tan KW. All the best in your investment journey or your gambling journey to bankruptcy.

Hi SSlee. You should know palm oil business better than me. I understand why you chose Jtiasa or BPlant or Insas. 20 years back i was employing same thought process. The well known names are too expensive valuation wise hence I preferred to pick "undervalued" stocks. Did i get rewarded? Obviously i would have been better off with the established companies in the long run than so called "undervalued" companies. I was naived to think that i was the one who could find such gems. Those companies were "undervalued" because the smart money knows what's actually happening.
With my limited knowledge in palm companies, KLK and IOI have the best yields. And to my knowledge, HapSeng is well run. Same for Sarawak Oil Palm (CEO with integrity) I would buy those companies if i wanna go for palm sector. Of course, i am not saying others are bad, i just don't know them. The reason i won't choose Jtiasa is because of possible feud within the families. Hearsay is that Tan Sri Tiong has not been in control since 2017. How many capable second generations you could think of? (YTL Francis Yeoh is one) Have you not heard of infighting in families business? I would keep away from such companies.
At your age, the only luxury you don't have is time. Hence, you can't afford to lose your capital. Capital preservation should be your main priority instead of maximizing % gains. What is your purpose of investing in shares? For me, that's my journey towards financial freedom. Financial freedom means my passive income is greater than my expenses.

Assuming Vietnam profit is sufficient for the extra 10% stake, JAKS will still need to issue PP next year for cash flow. With current operations in Malaysia, it's just simply burning cash.
Now, the question i would like to know (But only can if i am worm in his stomach), is JAKS sacrificing itself for the good of Malaysian? (Since JAKS taking up loss making projects) or for something else......?? (Now, i am only speculating, since Malaysian are all good hearted like all sifus in i3 try to make you rich, not suckers ok)
As for LSS4, i was told by material suppliers only LSS1 can make money with the tariff rate secured. Even then, it's a 20 years uncertainty. Better pray they are not using low quality China solar panels or cheap cables.

If your mission is to avoid Malaysian got conned in KLSE, you should spend more efforts in the rest 90% of companies. I can name a handful without much effort. Gpacket, Vinvest, Salute, etc.
You should even write to Genting and G Malaysia, what justified the Mr Lim to earn the highest CEO pay package in KLSE? Relatively to Genting's market cap and earnings.
Otherwise, this broken records that keep repeating itself sounds more like a personal vendetta
