Question: Is PUC being backed by online sales merchants like alibaba and others in Malaysia? Is this the APP where people buy things or foodstaff via online mobile like in china where you can even buy via mobile electronic transfer of money even from road side stalls?

Plantation business is not something where you can reap profits straight away. It involved mother nature and how you protect the fruits of your labor. No quantum leap to profits. But rewards from the medium term to long term are great. You put in "rent seekers" in the organisation it's a recipe for disasters.

This Felda guy may have too many post to be effective in anyway or is he on temporary posting. At the onset the business model for FGV is so simple. Actually, many china men listed plantation companies have successfully nurtured their assets to increase income stream by just keeping palm fruit thieving to a bare minimum while buying upstream palm oil related processing and manufacturing plant with excess funds. FGV assets are just palm oil land mostly old trees, so the IPO money should concentrate on replanting to increase revenue stream but this simple strategy was not pursue zealously by the previous management. Instead, their time are spend on mostly on inefficient projects and I suppose in heavy politics with certain ulterior motives.

Yes, but property prices are catching up in the once dead town like Bukit Beruntung, where TalamT has got lots of land too. Potential is there but how fast it can grow depends on how the government further stimulate the economic activity there. Anchoring Geely there could be a start if the rejunevated Proton is successful in Asean then the sky is the limit.

Hoping that parts suppliers too will setup shops to support Geely and other related brands in the stable.People living in those parts will benefit from jobs creation as well.

Type Announcement
Subject OTHERS
Description ASSISTANCE TO MEDIATE BY THE CORPORATE DEBT RESTRUCTURING COMMITTEE (CDRC) OF BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA)
The Board of Directors of Alam Maritim Resources Berhad ("ALAM” or "the Company") wishes to announce that the Company had received a letter dated 24 May 2017 (“the Letter”) issued by the Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee (“CDRC”) of Bank Negara, approving the Company’s application for assistance to mediate between the Company and certain of its subsidiaries, joint-venture companies and associated companies (collectively, the “Affected Companies”) and its respective financiers/Sukuk-holders.
This is part of the Company’s proactive effort in managing its asset financing structure to safeguard the Affected Companies, whose core businesses are still viable, from any potential financial distress which may elicit a cross-default in other financing facilities and Sukuk. The Company has received the approval from the CDRC on 25 May 2017 (“CDRC Approval Letter”) subject to the following conditions:
AMRB is required to submit a Proposed Debt Restructuring Scheme within 60 days from the date of the CDRC Approval Letter;
AMRB’s admission is limited to 12 months or upon signing of a debt restructuring agreement, whichever is earlier; and
The Proposed Debt Restructuring Scheme must comply with the CDRC’s restructuring principles for AMRB to continue to remain under the Informal Standstill Arrangement with the respective financiers. The Standstill Letter was issued by CDRC to the financiers of the Affected Companies as well as the trustee to the Company’s Sukuk-holders (collectively, the “Financiers”) on 25 May 2017.
The CDRC, which is under the purview of Bank Negara Malaysia, will mediate between the Affected Companies and their respective Financiers to restructure their respective financing facilities to a reasonable rate and within a practical tenure while preserving liquidity in the face of this challenging period for the oil and gas industry in line with the above conditions.
Notwithstanding the above, the operation of the Affected Companies shall remain as usual.
Further announcements will be made in due course as and when appropriate.
The announcement is dated 26 May 2017.

Billions loss if not for creative accounting, goodwill and revaluation of land.
"Edge Weekly, which has analysed 1MDB's numbers for financial years ended March 31, 2011 (FY11) to 2014 (FY14), said the government's 100%-owned entity had relied on some RM5.03 billion in land revaluation gains largely due to 1MDB buying land cheap from the government.
1MDB also registered RM3.3 billion goodwill from overpayment for power assets it acquired, according to Edge Weekly."

"He said if a comparison was made, the previous Barisan Nasional (BN) government sold 35 times more land than the Pakatan Rakyat government.
Among the biggest plots sold during BN's time were 980 acres in Tanjung Tokong (RM42.7 million) and 1,606 acres in Butterworth (RM584.9 million).
Lim said PR had only sold 1.1 acres on Jalan Zainal Abidin (RM10.2 million) and 102 acres in Bayan Mutiara (RM1.1 billion) since taking over the state administration.
"BN had sold at least 3,661 acres for RM1.058 billion over the years while PR only sold 103.1 acres. However, we got higher returns at RM1.11 billion.
"The reason why we got higher returns is because the PR administration called for open tenders, not because it relied on selling land."

Minister: Land where Malays not welcomed
"He said there is a particular group who would insist on merit, as opposed to race-based policies. "For example, in the absence of such a policy, a state governed by a particular party would say there are no cheap or low-cost houses. "This would lead to the Malays not being able to afford to be in the same group (of house buyers) ... or enjoy the development (in the state). In other words, this is also a form of racism in the deeper sense. "They (the ruling party) don't say it outright - that this place is only for our race, and the Malays cannot come here."

Anwar (below) has questioned the past "robbery" of MAS but not the future optimistic projection of return of investment within 3 years of RM6 billions "fantasy". Another perception gap between what is achievable and otherwise. Is it then a con to justify the rescue?
"Have you ever thought for a second, what is the future of these 6,000 families? Was it their fault? Were they lazy, incompetent?
"Whose fault is it? Why punish these guys, when those who committed the crime are given adequate compensation?" the PKR de facto leader said during his lecture for the Asian Renaissance Course at the Centre for Reform Democracy and Social Initiative in Puchong, in Selangor today."
Dr Mahathir brokered a deal that saw Tan Sri Tajuddin Ramli take out a RM1.79 billion loan in 1994 to buy a 32% majority stake in MAS.
Tajudin, a former MAS executive chairman, was badly affected by the 1997 Asian financial crisis and ended up selling his stake in the ailing airline to the government for RM1.79 billion – or RM8 a share – the same sum he paid in 2001. However, the company’s closing share price at the time Tajudin sold MAS was RM3.68.
"What happened next? MAS lost billions of ringgit, and Tajudin was given a gift of RM586 million ringgit," said Anwar today.
State investment vehicle Khazanah Nasional Berhad announced yesterday that 6,000 jobs will be cut at the national carrier, which has lost at least RM3 million a day for the first half of the current financial year.
He pointed to the RM6.25 billion, 25-year catering contract awarded to Brahim's Holdings, which he said had burdened MAS for years.
"Never before has there been a deal involving giving a contract to anyone for 25 years. And this was given to the brother of a former prime minster," said Anwar, referring to Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
"All this weakened MAS and continued to burden it, until it has reached this point. Then came MH370 and MH17."
