The best scenario is get the deal done and convert them into Ringgit at higher price, like 4.4 but after that ringgit strengthen to 4.0.. hahaha... But everything is not perfect. TF cant control the currency as well. but between 4.4 and 4.2 is still ok.. strengthen 10 cent in ringgit is about 3 cent per share lesser in AAC deal in ringgit.

The worst investment from him (30M USD get burst in 6 months) is the airline company, Oasis Hong Kong Airlines Limited in year 2007, which is the airline try to copy airasia concept but failed. If Airasia listed in HKSE, i believe that foreign fund will invest it and pump up the capital to help it growth faster.

If jet fuel price go up to USD100, will the demand significant cut down? I doubt so. Profit might not look good but wont go too bad. When the jet fuel price go up to USD100, I believe ringgit will strengthen to 3.50-3.80 also. So it's just a natural hedging and the cost will pass-through to consumers. i'm not worried too much on oil price. Even go down to USD30 for go up to USD100, AA will just operate as usual.

supersaiyan3, Maybank target price for AA is RM4.00.

Statistic already show that you no need to increase the price for air ticket to get higher market share now. Try to imagine, with current demand and current air ticket price, all loading factor already close to 90% (malindo, airasia, even MAS). If you cut down the price, how much extra market share will you get? 93% load factor? 95%? To improve the 3-5% load factor but cut down your revenue to total? It doesn't make sense. If all industry can get good profit (or at least cut down losses like MAS), you no need cut down the air ticket price and possible to think about slightly increase the price. But AA play it differently, maintain ticket price and they are more focusing on ancillary income now which have better potential for AA to earn more in future.

Loading factor for Q1 and Q2 is expected to reach 90% and TF got mentioned that AA will not cut (nor increase) air ticket price due to market pressure. With improving in ancillary income and higher loading factor in FY2017, Im very confidence that AA will do better than FY2016. If you check back Q1 and Q2 result in 2016, then you can roughly guess 2017 result which is superb to me.

Tjunkie, I understand that there will be a concentration risk. But my investment fund is not much. If diversify too many then I will face some difficulty to plan my investment strategy. I plan to sell 30-40% around July/Aug to reduce my exposure on AA and realize some profit at that time. Too many good news is coming for AA before August and I believe that AA will do better than FY2016. Sound very waste to me if I sell it now.

Toto, just my personal preference and depend how you set your entry price. If AA drop below 3.05 then I will only use my available cash to collect more but not at price 3.2x. I'm just a small retailer with limited bullet. If I use all money and when AA drop to 2.90, that time you cannot do anything. Can see but no money to buy more. It doesn't mean that AA will drop below 3.0. But anything can happen in market, sometime is irrational and there is a chance for you to grab more. For example, Roll Royce incidence few months ago. There will be some noise happen around AA and you have to prepare yourself to grab the opportunity. Even super undervalue gem will drop even lower price. It is just a natural of market. But if you believe on the philosophy of fundamental analyst, just stay calm and review the valuation and make your call either hold/buy/sell.

There is another good example for united airlines incidence recently. Drop about 1b market cap in 1 day due to 1 incidence? It does not make sense in term of valuation. Will public boycott united airlines due to this incidence? I personally don't think so. People will forget about it after 1 month. Just temporary effect only. Sound similar to Roll Royce cases in AA, right? Lol.. Current price for united airlines already bound back and closed to the price before that incidence. Current price also higher than the price in 1 month before. Mean investors are still very confidence on airline stock and keep adding for united airline.

And my bullet is very limited now. So only can play the card that I have now. Lol

supersaiyan3, yes, I invest a lot on AA in term of my portfolio. But my total investment amount is not much actually. compare to you all, i just a small investor. Although Im not agreed with your statement that AA can generate 4b net profit (disposed of AAC is not consider profit to me, my valuation on AAC is 1B USD, but they sold it at price 1B USD, actually no gain in my view), but i still very confidence with AA. AA should at least price at PE 8 or 9 in my view.

stockmanmy, it's not fair to compare long haul airline like AAX vs Airasia. Even you wanna study about their fundamental, why purposely skip their earning (PE) and growing (ROE) comparison. I'm not saying aax is not good, but if you wanna compare them, put them on the same page 1st.

JN88, no need so complicated la. Currently AA is superb in handling cash. Better than a lot of company and even some bank. If you refer to FY 2016. Financial Income / Cash Available = 7.x% per annum and Finance Cost / Debt = 5.x% per annum. Company like AA able to earn 2% spread leh.. consider very very good liao..

2. Low volume - something wrong, no one buy, will sell down soon
3. Closed with green - someone would like to trap you
4. Closed with red - sell down, run run run..

No FA statement to support at all. Although i dont know about TA, I also know that all of these are non TA related statement.
