In next 2 months will close to winter season in US, prices for heating fuels typically start increase during the winter, as well as crude oil. Most world and domestic crude oil prices have also increased during this period, or, during winter.

Beside this i live in real world, there are things also called 'uncertainties''. i wont say for certain the oil price will come down by then, uncertainties is always the factor pushing up oil prices due to political tension for instance. You can continue living in ur own fantasy with this naive thinking.

hedge at what price? Last time MAS made a great loss when oil drop back from ~$140 to $80 where MAS hedge at $120.
So hedging is depends on what price you lock in. And how is this benefit the airline. is a double sword.
