On QR and others....
i. Dig out my draft note, correct me if i am wrong.
Cash in hand @30Sep RM4432m
AAC sale proceeds already received USD936.6m by 3Q18
AAC sale proceeds bal to be received USD248.4m in 4Q18
SDiv payment due on 28Dec RM1337m
Total loans @30Sep RM4272m
Loans transferred together with bal of AAC sale in 4Q18 RM1073m
NTA @30Sep RM8659m
NTA to be reduced by book value of bal of AAC assets transferred in 4Q18 (approx RM880m ?)
Below is the situation assuming that the 40c SD has been paid out and the AAC sale 100% completed:
Cash adjusted (m) = 4432 + 1043 - 1337 = 4138
Loans adjusted (m) = 4272 - 1073 = 3199 (Net cash position)
NTA adjusted (m) = 8659 + 1043 - 1337 + 1073 - 880 = 8558 (2.56 ps)

The crack spread of aviation fuel a few days ago was around USD14.15.
Current Brent Crude is USD58.38, so Jet fuel price should be around USD72.53. Average fuel price in 3Q18 report is USD95.00, a difference of USD22.47 which could have been RM252m less for this quarter.

USD183 or approx 15% of AAC sale was completed at the end of June and therefore should have been taken up in the 2Q18 report already. Therefore gains in this regard for 3Q18 should be adjusted to $650m. It must be pointed out that gains from disposal of AAC assets are not necessarily uniform. So take note.

Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is a clean drive that captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind.
Without greed, there will be no progress. Ask Gordon Gekko.

Issuing of a dividend requires shareholders' approval. Sharehders must be given a reasonable advance notice to attend an EGM to this end. There isn't much time left.

I remember TF&KM picked up the 558m private placement of new shares in late January 2017 meaning that they drew down their offshore loan of ~$1 billion just a few days earlier. If they intend or have to redeem their loan at this 2 year juncture, we shall be hearing something about the SD very soon.

One-off gains to be booked in the 3Q18 financial report; $231m for 25% Expedia and around $800m for AAC (approx 80% transaction completed).
Operational profits maybe $100 to 200m, allowing for a hostile quarter.
What is there to be apprehensive about? The future? Cleaner and rakyaat-centric PH government, lower oil prices, weaker USD due to restrained rise in US interest rates, and a likely tamed US-China Trade War due to US backing off.

No, it can only be a dumping to mow the price down 7 bids. The day's IDSS volume was only 725K shares and looks like most have squared off already leaving short covering of 85.2K shares only after matching time. Don't think it was a move to punish the small IDSS players. More likely a crossing of shares on the market between 2 associates at below market price.

What gives? What kind of voodoo chicanery is going on with AirAsia's price, so close to the final conclusion of divestment of its leasing subsidiary?

It is too crowded among the regulators. It is sufficient having the MOT and DCA. We don't need MAVCOM. Leave the economics and service matters to the stakeholders (airlines and travelers) to sort out among themselves. Minimal regulations please and only when absolutely necessary. Supply and demand are self balancing in a free market.

I believe yesterday, there were a lot of shorts covering judging from the sharp price rise in the afternoon. WTS has acquired nearly 33 million shares recently and now controls 1,449,688,474 (~ 40.198%) MyEG shares directly or indirectly. If he were to acquire another 39 million shares in the near future, that will bring him to the treshold of a MGO trigger for the rest of the shares (the 2 % change within a 6 month period).
Shorting activities help him acquire undervalued shares on the cheap. When he is so near the trigger of a MGO, one which will likely prompt a rush for the shares in the open market to push the price higher, the shortsellers will stay away. WTS may accumlate more shares if the price remains cheap but it will creep up gradually towards fair value.

Why pound on the profits MyEG makes instead of counting your blessings for being able to get the mundane tasks done in the comfort of your home in your spare or idle time, avoiding time and fuel spent on the road in crawling traffic, wear and tear, long queue times, taking time off work, etc.
The fees paid to MyEG is nothing compared to the real savings you can save and frustrations avoide. When Alibaba was floated, their % gross profits were in the 50's too, now 45 or more, and at the peak in the 80's in a country with a communist government which does not find it ludicrous. Let the market set the levels. For now just be glad that there is at least MyEG there to provide these commendable services.

AirAsia wishes to announce to the public that as at 31 December 2017, 44.38% of its issued and paid-up share capital (comprising 3,341,874,080 ordinary shares and excluding 100,000 treasury shares) were held by foreigners.

All the contracts will run their courses. Then there will be new tenders to pick new concessionaires to sign new contracts. Specifications may change a bit but the gist of the core functions will remain largely the same. Who do you think will be likely to win the new contracts, considering the edge MYEG has? How long did it take to build up to where it is today, 2700 personnel strong, 101 e-service centres with 8 regional offices and 897 kiosks throughout the country (AR2017).
Its e-solution softwares are patented and off limits to any competitors who may aspire to grab any of its concessions come renewal times or any of its non-eGovernment commercial based solutions and services. A good App may not need very high tech to run but it needs to have a great demand for the solution that it is providing which must be practical, friendly to use and convenient, and for its owner, intellectual asset protection.
Government agencies who may decide not to outsource the services in future will have to expand their workforce, office spaces and other related whatnots which will mean hugh capital expenditure and increased overheads. They will have to buy softwares and hardwares, pay royalties, train their staffs, procure expert maintenance service for their setup system. If no IT system but plain old fashioned arrangement, then need even more service counters, supporting staffs and office spaces. They may not even keep up with the work load.
On the side, isn't MYEG one of the early participants of Malaysia's MSC, a TDM's brainchild? Wouldn't TDM be proud of MYEG's achievement? How many are there left?
The big chunk (79%) of MYEG's bottom line comes from its commercial based solutions and services which includes both concession and non-concession categories (not eGovernment).
The company has forayed into hostel business. It runs an internet TV channel and a food review website which can be harnessed to generate advertising revenue in future. It has also setup a JV company in the Philippines to provide eGovernment services which will be most interesting for its potential to expand outside Malaysia.
Good governments do not compete with the private sector but support it, balanced with an eye on how to benefit the people most..

This situation is very similar to what AirAsia went through in late August and September, 2015 and beyond. Back then TF & KM had under 19% of AA's shares pledged for $800m for their debt facility and the value of the shares dropped below $400m at the trough of the ordeal. A foreign fund, Wellington Group, used to own about 14% of AA's shares or approx 390m then. EPF had about 9%, if I remember correctly. Both Wellington and EPF were selling relentlessly like it was all over for AA. Wellington cleared out completely and EPF went off radar below 5%. AA hit 76.5c but thrived on and the major owners struggled to survive in the ugly face of oblivion but survived they did. Today, the proud colours of Malaysia's famous brand of AirAsia flies high amongst the most successful airlines of the world.
I am willing to bet on WTS finding his way out of the woods because MYEG is an excellent company with a bright future.

The last call warrant to expire this month is CG on 30 March. That means the determination of the mother's share price starts tomorrow until Thu next week.
The issued number of shares is 56m but over the whole period that this CW has been listed, the total shares transacted was only 4.33m. That includes all the re-sales by purchasers who bought their shares from MACQ, the issuer. Prices ranged from 26.5c to $1.28. The current bid ptice is 14c and asking price is 21.5c. The last transaction was 1000 shares on 15 march at 21.5c.
It would appear that MACQ has no need to bash the mother price down to cover their arses in this issue as the stakes are insignificant.
The next call warrants to expire will be in late June, 3 months+ away. So, prices are likely to rise in the meantime.

Also looking forward to the internal reorganisation of AirAsia under AAGB which will unlock more value of the group. I believe $5.00 to $6.00 is not that far away. Perchance, the HY's BoD might consider giving out a dividend of RM1 for FY17 which is less than the normal corporate tax rate that they will soon be paying. It will also mean that they will be recouping and locking-in more than 50 % of their investment after only 1 year. The new financing means Shandong HY will be released from the guarantees required of them in the earlier 2 loans amounting to USD350 million while HY will enjoy better terms with the new finance package.
