Alternatively, you can buy RI for say 100k, but apply for 200k new right shares.

Fire hawk, no need even to buy the RI. I did it once years ago. RI price towards expiry is a good indication. If it falls to minimal, it points to likely under subscription and you stand a chance.

For non-shareholders, you actually can submit right issue application form in and hopefully get the share at RM0.40, in case the right shares are under-subscribed and major shareholders and underwriters let you have them.
In any case, the low right issue price is so beneficial to the underwriters who can potentially get the shares for RM0.40 a piece in case of under subscription.

Please talk with facts and figures, not wishful estimates.
The fact is that the controlling shareholder screwed the minority shareholders times and again. Endlessly asking for cash injection, although the power plant is expected to make super profits up to billions of ringgit, as many supporters like calculate naively and publish with annoying regularity. The management has long ago lost its credibility.
The figure is RM0.40 per right issue, at a dilutive scale.
Don’t count your future earnings and hoped-for dividends when you first have to hand over money to this vampire.

People here estimated future earnings of Jaks day in day out, counting unhatched eggs, scolding each other endlessly over disagreements in the process. Major shareholder now checkmates all with RM0.40 right issue price.

EPS per quarter is same as penta, dialogue and its dividend is better than them. But you see the share price, they are worlds apart. Haha

Big impairment loss on its intangible assets is imminent. Given its huge borrowings, it is worth less than zero.

For a counter this liquid, bonus issue has no meaning. He said he hopes notion would not turn below RM0.50 after one for two bonus. That makes his ideal share price to be at least RM0.75 pre-bonus.

Rm23m for the whole company now. Fire-sales price level.

If you remove one-off insurance compensation of RM12m, the company’s latest quarterly EPS would b less than 1sen. That was achieved on RM70m sales, which can b annualised into RM280m a year. The company’s target of achieving RM300m for 2020, and RM400m actually doesn’t mean much as its profitability is so low.
Over an hour plus on equity tracker, no viewers including the hosts asked about this obvious issue of low margin. They are laughably more excited about bonus issue and top line numbers, and more or less wasted an hour plus.

I remember Kyy say repeatedly share margin financing is good for those smart ones like him who know what they are doing. Kyy likes to boast about his rm200m worth of shareholding in Dayang just a month or two ago. He liked to ridicule people who cautioned him about Dayang, etc.
He now has a big bitter pill to swallow.

If you believe the power plant is gonna generate at least rm200m of net profit a year as some claim here as facts, then you should buy more at the current price. Otherwise, just enjoy the ‘show’ on the sideline.

Mr Boo was too aggressive in raising loans for YT to part-finance the failed Impression Melaka, and to build up his personal shareholding in YT. Now YT has RM220m loan to pay off, and personally his financiers force-sold his pledged shares in YT.
It’s near impossible now to do private placement that can meaningfully help it stay afloat. YT will have to start selling whatever assets it can sell even at the current depressed prices, in conjunction with bank loan rescheduling.

You stand corrected.
Mkt cap is RM43m only (a portion of its shares are held by its subsidiary).
Operating cash flow is Rm32m (basically this is yearly depreciation expense, excluding that of right of use)
Free cash flow after paying interest expense and taxes but before capex is Rm12m. This may, just may, improve to Rm15m-20m in 2020 (with closure of loss-making restaurants and further cost rationalisation in all segments)
If it can cap 2020 capex at rm10m, it has the capacity to declare 5sen-10sen dividend in Dec 2020, while keeping its net debt below Rm100m.

One quarter loss alone reversed out 20 years of previous fake profits. Years ago I warned many times about the management taking out money via blatantly inflated property, plant and equipment, bloated receivables and it’s non-cash reported profits. Total liabilities now stand at rm550m. Who will stomach it? Bankers and creditors loh. Shareholders’ value has long been destroyed, now to ashes.

For those who believe Jaks have struck a power plant jackpot worth billions, they should beware. So far, no cash inflow, only accounting profits from the power plant.

Doubting Koon is worried he will get eaten by this stock the second time. Once bitten twice shy. He boasted about jaks at rm1.40 but then he badmouthed jaks after he exited at a price as low as 40sen plus.
Even if the power plant proves more than accounting profits, it is almost certain the controlling shareholders would not share any cash profits through dividends to shareholders.
Exercise caution, everyone.
