It noted that the last postal tariff increase was in 2010, when regular postage approximately doubled. The price for standard mail weighing up to 20 grammes was revised from 30 sen to 50 sen, and for up to 50 grammes, the price was revised from 40 sen to 70 sen.

“If Pos Malaysia is able to negotiate a postal tariff hike by slightly more than 50 per cent (circa RM0.90 to RM1.05 for standard mail), our analysis shows that it could easily see a doubling of its total net core profits in FY17 (compared with FY15 at RM102 million),” it projected.

Comparatively, it noted that standard postal letter (below 50 grammes) rates in Singapore are between RM0.90 to RM1.10, while the priciest postal rates in Asean which is in the Philippines is between RM1.50 and RM2.

Looking at the monthly chart, if history is the best guidance... the uptrend in POS has just started.

Each uptrend cycle will take 15-18 months to reach its peak (RM 6.05 in Nov 2013 and RM 5.66 in Nov 2017)

Interesting news on LTKM privatization move.

Wonder how it will impact Teoseng. Using the same P/E ratio of LTKM offer price at 1.35,
that implies that Teoseng value of 1.27

But then:
1) Teo Seng is bigger than LTKM. Revenue more than double vs LTKM
2) Teoseng recent profit margin is bigger than LTKM
3) Teo Seng recently paid more dividend vs LTKM

Could the move by LTKM bring more attention to Teoseng?? I would think so....
