According to webminar sharing by Fred Tam, bullish signal appeared in SAPNRG on the day it closed at 0.645 (Wednesday). That is also the day when highest volume of 600+ mil recorded.
Judging by his previous technical selection, I believe the rally in SAPNRG has just STARTED and has a long way to go.

Golden cross. Technically, the bull move just started for Armada. How high will it go?

With SK408 first phase approval, future earnings from FY2020/2021 onwards would be more certain.
That would last for 2-3 DECADES. Ebitda projected 350-400 m annually.
By FY2022/2023, the mammoth Jerun field expected to be online. By then, earnings from their gas field would be even more significant.
By then, Sapura Energy will be a major gas supplier in Malaysia. How much a significant gas
would be? RM 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,8, 9,10?
And off course the E&C and drilling would also contribute on top of its E&P, which will only push the share price higher.
We are buying a Market Leader, at this current price. This counter certainly will reward patient long term shareholders

Not surprised Sapura will party all the way until next quarter report.
Off course with some small corrections along the way.

Highest volume ever recorded is 431 mil.
If today can exceed that and up, most likely worst is over and uptrend is confirmed.

By 2021/2022, Sapura Energy will be a major gas producer in Malaysia.
By then, a major gas producer cannot be worth below RM1. How much would it be?

I seriously feel that Sapura is rather neutral in its political affliation. The view of it as being pro Opposition is merely perception, as it was associated with Mokhzani Mahathir before.
Now that MM is no longer in the picture, that perception is no longer rellevant.
Unlike some politically linked companies, this company is driven more by its capabilities vs political affliation. YTD contract win of 2.8 bil further demonstrates that. Sapura needs a stable oil price more than having a political affliation.
Even with a strong political connection, it is of no use if crude oil price remains low. Just my personal opinion.

mobuzz.... he did not mention the exact price, but we all should know what that statement implies :)
Tan Sri also said he was not interested to come out to the media when the share price crashing for the past few months. He would rather focus on fixing the gaps and get it done.
He also seems unpeturbed by the low share price. As he believe Sapura has what it takes to turnaround when the time comes. And he believe the worst storm has passed and good times is ahead of us.

Finally Tan Sri has spoken. He reckon the worst storm is already

36 months.

it could still be like Sime. After all, their Energy and Services (E&C, Drilling) can be treated as independent
The most important thing is, it has to be attractive enough for EPF/PNB and KWAP
to accept the deal, plus the majority of minority shareholders during EGM

Proact286, here you go:
Sapura leads race for Pegaga turnkey award
Sapura Energy’s engineering and construction division is in pole position to land a significant turnkey contract for work on Mubadala Petroleum’s Pegaga gas development off Sarawak, east Malaysia.
Pegaga is one of the few current Malaysian offshore oil and gas developments but is one of the largest.
The main prize is the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of a large central processing platform, with a 12,500-tonne topsides, 7000-tonne jacket and 3200 tonnes of piles.
The platform will feature a 12-slot drilling deck, a 50-person living quarters, and has been designed to produce between 400 million and 600 million cubic feet per day of gas.
It will be located in 110 metres of water in Block SK320 off Sarawak, and the floatover method of installation is understood to be favoured. Only two companies were invited to bid for the contract — Sapura Energy and Malaysia Marine & Heavy Engineering.
They are the leading exponents of big platform fabrication in Malaysia.
Bids were submitted some months ago, and sources said Sapura — with the support of WorleyParsons — is well positioned for the contract.
Both companies are desperate for a major new contract given their depleted order books and lack of ongoing work in their yards.
Sapura is insulated somewhat by its other divisions — its oil and gas production segment, its transportation and installation subsidiary and its drilling segment.
However, the company's recent market forecast was sombre, saying it remained “cautious on the outlook of recovery in the industry's capital spending”.
Activity levels would remain subdued in the near term and competition would remain intense. Sapura recently agreed with Subsea 7 to discontinue the SapuraAcergy joint venture, which resulted in Sapura becoming the sole owner of the Sapura 3000, a self-propelled dynamically-positioned heavy lift derrick and pipelay combination vessel.
This was viewed positively by Malaysian security analysts, as the vessel would enhance Sapura’s competitiveness in the engineering and construction business.
The vessel has worked in numerous countries, and also carried out landmark workscopes at Malaysia's first two deep-water projects — Kikeh and Gumusut-Kakap.
Abu Dhabi-headquartered Mubadala last September awarded Aker Solutions’ Malaysian subsidiary the front-end engineering and design contract for Pegaga.
Mubadala’s intention is to use the Pegaga field as the central hub for a series of discoveries in Block SK320.
The operator said Pegaga “is among the largest discoveries of recent years in Malaysia”.
Another aspect of the project is a 28-inch, 130-kilometre subsea gas pipeline to a new riser platform at a third-party field, said sources.
Mubadala was appointed the operator of Block SK320 in 2010 when the permit already contained the M5 discovery.
A successful appraisal well was drilled on M5 in 2012, followed in 2013-2014 by three substantial gas discoveries — Pegaga, Sirih and Sintok.
Mubadala is planning to drill two commitment wells in Block SK320 starting in December this year. It is understood the wells will be drilled using the jack-up Ensco 115 ( formerly the Atwood Orca) as part of a four-month extension with rig owner Ensco that Mubadala recently agreed.
Mubadala holds a 55% operating interest in SK320 with Petronas Carigali on 25% and Anglo-Dutch supermajor Shell holding 20%.

There must be a strong reason why EPF, KWAP and other funds to further buy SAPNRG
from MM at 1.42-1.49 range.
There must be intrinsic quality and values which attracts them.
EPF could easily cut loss earlier if there is no prospect in Sapura. They have done exactly that to FGV, 2 years ago.

It emerged that Mubadala Petroleum, an oil company of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has recently issued tender documents for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of 'Pegaga' offshore platform project in Malaysia.
Malaysia's two local companies such as Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE) and Sapura Energy Berhad received the tender documents. In particular, MMHE forms a consortium with TechnipFMC.
The two yards are scheduled to submit their proposals in June this year. After reviewing them, Sapura Energy is expected to select the final contender and conclude a formal deal in January, 2018.
The project aims to build one central processing platform (CPP) for the development of the Pegaga field (water depth of 110m), located in Block SK 320, offshore Sarawak, Malaysia.
Mubadala Petroleum plans to produce natural gas of 500m cubic feet and condensate of 9,500 barrels per day in the field. Accordingly, the company will use the CPP that has a 12,500-ton topsides, 7,000-ton jacket and 3,200 tons of piles.
As for the CPP on which Aker Solutions of Norway completed front end engineering design (FEED) works, the main EPCIC job is targeted for completion in 36 months with the first gas production scheduled towards the end of 2020.
