Heavy profit taking ahead of trump's presidency beginning. Its not too surprising but the momentum is still very positive. Trump will be good for AA, just you guys watch. I'm confident the dollar will not strengthen from this point to ensure US manufacturing and trade improves. Fiscal stimulus is one offs..it can help for a year or two but his presidency is for much longer and if he doesn't want strong dollar then there won't be a strong dollar. Secondly he will be a big supporter of US energy production in an effort to boost production and lessen reliance on imports and so oil will get cheaper. Both good for AA.

They are breaking and collecting more slowly at 2.60-2.70..must be enough at cheaper levels. Now they put a roadblock and let the ikan bilis sell out slowly. Next news, next wave.

Now they will shake shake to try and shake shake you out. Hehe sorry cannot shake me out before i get my bounty. Upside requires discipline and controlling greed and fear as well.

reflecting on AA price movement now and im convinced that this round it will create new highs and history underpined by the rewards from AAC and the historical listing in hkse that will lift its valuations from now on. I feel confident that this is the best time to be a shareholder in AA. I wont be selling anytime soon but im sure i will be celebrating cny with a smile on my face.

It will surely break the previous high this round IMO. If i am conservative id say 3.50 but if i am optimistic id say 3.80 but even if it hits 4.50 i wont be surprised. Hkse listing is a game changer in terms of valuations so historical range may be a thing of history.

I think RM will appreciate to 4.3 to usd short term

Haha yes AA is back and those bears who were waiting for the boogeyman round the corner probably missed their chance at 2.16-2.20 while waiting for 1.85. I too wait for 1.85 but i still laoded at 2.16. Said many times already..you wait for a bottom and not strategically average down..you miss the whole party.

Timeline for binding bids is as per i remembered but its great to know TF is happy with the bids and that most likely a big part will be used for divvy. Also 1st qtr looking strong already so thats another good piece of news. AA could well be a huge play in 2017..i have faith for a good rally..

batu88 i think the presenting of the binding offer to the BOD is end of march. Thats what i read but timeline can easily shift. Those familiar with it will know better.

AA up 11 cents on low volume...not much selling..

Very positive as AA weathered the profit taking on its 2 days steep rally well and now moving up again slowly. I expect AA to trade above 2.50 short term and move from there slowly by funds collection or more steeply with news announcement...

The trump fund flow will reverse to an extent as they realize that the dollar has to be kept weaker to help exports and that there is no guarantee on higher bond markets there as now the actions part start and their expectations can fall short so i think the fund flows are coming back a little.

Considering the 2 day steep runup...today close at 2.44 is not too bad. Next week can resume upward movement. As AAC inches closer..its alot harder to short sell and speculate AA down..

12x PE seems fair to me since associates are turning around now..

Sifu icon, VG, cruger or anyone care to forecast if AA group listed in hkse similar package to klci listing then what sort of PE it will garner there?

If the IPO is april 30th in hkse that tells me they are confident of a good 4th qtr result with promising 1st qtr as well.

Great news on dual listing. All kinds of positives there. Hopefully the valuations wont lag too much already here if this finally gets done. I imagine in hkse that atleast PE 10 will be the base and PE 15 the peak..just my feeling...

Sifu icon, come to think about it, i agree on your point about the volume and price movement must indicate more than short covering. Im sure short covering is in there as well but such volume must be AAC related as well i supposed. The addition of short covering as a result of some AAC progress haha. But on 4th qtr i have a feeling that core earnings is great then forex losses drag that down but then defered tax wipes out forex loss....how bout that? Possible?

AAC move not yet. I think in Feb only AAC rally coming..

But I think this move is more on shorties covering on signs that RM is starting its strengthening against USD. Their short ammo is over.

As Ive said previously, FF are not dumping. There are short term ones that probably sold out for re-positioning to bring back to US but they are a small portion of FF holdings, maybe 3-4% at most. Beyond that it was shorties and speculators driving it down which cause uncles and aunties and little kiddos to dump in panic.

sifu Icon always adding turns out to be haha. I also did so quite big at 2.17 but wanted to do more at 2.00 and 1.85 and 1.70 levels but 3 of my levels did not materialized as I put in too big margin of safety.

Now another phase of discipline starts..selling well into a rally and not being too scared and sump too early. You must plan for this as well.

My sifu teach me a long time ago, you lose money if u fail to let profits run. Have a target and plan and control your emotions when you have money in hand.

My target is RM3.30. AAC announcement will easily add 0.50 to the price when announced. They will take it to 2.70-2.80 beforehand. For making us wait this long, they will have to pay more now.

Possibly supermx2, this is just a guess but so far yesterday's price surge witj volume and today its staying above 2.40 with all the profit taking is quite bullish already. If weak it could hit 2.20s level back already by now.

Afternoon will move again. I think they will push above 2.50 before AAC announcement.

Alot of calls for 1.80-2.10 and just a couple days ago everyone is bearish including me targeting 1.80-1.90. As i said, nobody can call the bottom as its just a guesstimate work but buying in levels and averaging down when cheap enough will always make sure you dont miss the boat and still get low-ish price.

Ringgit looks to stabilize and reverse some loss from 4.50 level and oil is dangerously close to $50 level and testing the support there so i think shorties are running out of their ammo on reasons to sell off. May start to turn i think.

Cindy my average now still alot higher than you. Im not scared but excited everyday. Dont worry too much. You are holding stock of one of the most relevant brand and company in the world in its industry. Stock market gyration wont change that.

AA whole group is still expanding greatly. 28 planes next year I think in the article mentioned 8 is for MAA and the rest in other partners. Tony also mentioned next year record growth. Topline will be fantastic i believe and now its up to those brilliant ppl to make sure the bottom line comes shining through as well. But IMO it will still be good because they even feel that AAC sale wont materially effect profitability.

supermx2, you are too concerned on "play" mentality. This can totally be bypassed with proper fund allocation and distribution at diff levels.
