One thing that I can't figure out is why the current quarter revenue and earnings are even lower than when Nationgate first listed on Bursa.

Mega First Corp Bhd (KL:MFCB), which is involved in renewable energy sales, limestone quarrying and packaging, said its first quarter net profit rose 35.32% to RM95.46 million from RM70.55 million a year earlier amid a significant improvement at its resource division.

The higher earnings were also attributed to a one-time boost from fire insurance compensation. The group said it recognised RM22.39 million in insurance income for the fire incident in its flexible plastic packaging factory.

Q1 2024 revenue is at more than 20-year low going back more than 20 years ago.
Q1 net profit is also at more than 20-year low, going back to 2002.

From the company website, it's a company providing cooling service aka aircond service to buildings and cleaning service for corporate clients.
Don't see it as a high tech biz rather a facility service and building maintenance company.

The company is experiencing cashflow issues due to high expenses that eats into their profit.
Adding to it, lower demand for the company products.
The company is streamlining its acquisition into medical and renewables products hoping to buck the slowing demand in other areas eg: semicon, e&e, automation tools ,etc

It's been awhile since their China operation kick started.
Seems not much news on their China plant utilization.
If anyone has any updates, please share.

Anyone drove using Duke3 highway recently.
It seems volume of traffic still low.

According to company website, Dufu specializes in manufacturing precision machining parts and components primarily in HDD-hard disk drive component.
Thus, graphic cards are not related to it's biz.

However, more data centres built in the country would require more components for HDD.
This will have limited effects on Dufu revenue and earnings coming from a low base since 2022-2023.
At best, recoveries back to 2020-2021 revenues and earnings, then it should normalise back as there's only less than 10 data centres to be built from 2023-2030 as published in the news.

Would like to know after the data centres are completed between 2026-2030, who are the customers that will buy the services to use the GEN AI services?

Any ideas when to breakeven the capex spent of more than USD1billion?

Crude oil is surging to new high this year at close to USD90 per barrel.

Frontken is a solid fundamental company but it's already price for perfection.
It's currently trading at PE 52 and forward PE of 40 for 2025.
It's better to purchase it's main customer TSMC directly, which currently trades at PE 23 and forward PE of 19 for 2025

Q4 revenue halves from previous quarter.
As expected, the company unable to keep finding new clients and existing clients are not recurring.
Biz strategy need to get it right.

With this high expectation after the run up in the share price of almost 500% in the last one year, the Q2 result must be good enough to justify its valuation.
Anything less than a net profit of rm1 billion and a 4.5 cent dividend is a disappointment.

I believe the share price had reflected and factored in data centre and power plant earnings for the next 5 years.
Thus, looking at the company dole out at least 20cents per annum to derive a 5% yield on the current share price.
Historically, the company used to be generous in its dividend.

Another IPO company making use of terminology of EV, Data Centre,etc to boost share price.
There are many companies providing industrial cooling system and air conditioning going back 50 years ago.
The fact also 50% of the company's revenue is cleaning. Check the quarter report.

Not surprising when even company's selling toilet equipment, tiles, roofing, windows,etc will mentioned EV, Data Centre and semicon to boost share price just because the installed the such equipments in the building.

It's just a engineering company for m&e sector.
It's over-rated when people mix the news of semiconductor, data centre, etc.

Sunway Hospital going for IPO in 2026/2027

The offer for sale of 127mil shares from the major shareholder already is an indicator.

It's just a wire manufacturer.
It's over-rated when people mix the news of EV, renewal energy, data centre, etc.

Hopefully, there is new generation of senior management groom up ready for next decade.

Your EPS 3 cent is acceptable in 2024.
If your view is longer, say 2025-2027 EPS 10-13 cent is possible.

The effects of high interest rates globally is beginning to take effects on sales of automotive including EVs.
On the longer term, it should do well once the interest cycle is normalize in the next 12mths -24 mths.

Energy sector is a regulated industry.
Becoz of this, the performance for share like TNB is affected during to low tariff rates, high maintenance capital expenditure and government late payment.

Looking at YTLpowr, it seems quite similar when compared to revenue source from Singapore.
I'm sure the singapore government will ensure low tariff rates and unrevised rates remains for many years.
