mark handlers, material handling systems, vision inspection and automation solutions. The group
has operations in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

Customer S contributes 61% of total revenue to SFPTECH is involved in the design and assembly of modular or complete machine and equipment for the hard-disk drive, Solar PV, semiconductor, and the light-emitting diode (LED) industries. The company is a subsidiary of a listed company on Bursa Securities.

Found out that is SAM.

Comparing the quarter result pre-pandemic 2018 and 2019, revenue was below rm180mil and net profit was normally below RM5mil.
Seems something does add up.

A glorified aircond hardware store with many outlets trading at PE 40.
Just my opinion, it's just a hardware store that grew to many outlets during pandemic as electricians and handyman not able to travel from house to house for fixes.
Was wondering how many screwdrivers, hammer,etc that customers can keep buying every month to support the revenue and profit.

according to IPO prospectus page 3, major shareholders plan to sell 82 mil shares upon reaching 2nd moratorium period of 6 months.
Interesting to note.

Not sure why IB allocate this company with high PE of 40-50.
Those who work in the financial institution would know this company very well.
It's just a company entity delivering reports services to FI and non bank FI mainly to get details of bankruptcy and litigation status.
In fact, CCRIS would be a more important report.
Just over the last few years ,the company actively add some value add services and acquisition to make it attractive for IPO.
In my opinion, it's still a reporting database company with additional bells and whistle and with PE worth not more than 15.

Based on a conservative 20k pbl per day with 80% uptime and USD90 pbl and forex rate=4.2
we will get RM544 mil revenue based on 90 days operation.
Making assumption of average PAT 20% , Q4 PAT will be estimated around RM108 mil
Taking SST and penalty amount of RM97, that leaves PAT for Q4 at RM11mil, assuming Hibi pays tax.
That's big hit to bottom line.

QR is very good.

But the company mentioned “ it will become impossible to avoid further crop losses in 2022, as the acute labour shortages have gone beyond the ‘breaking point’ for many plantation companies,”
very very weird statement in view that QR result is better than pre-pandemic.

It's sad for Hibiscus not performing at this high crude oil and gas season.
I believe it's partly affected by news of UK windfall tax of 25%, inconsistent in off-takes, subsea riser malfunction and the recent Sabah SST tax concerns.

Barriers to entry for glove manufacturing seems low.
Many smaller players are able to start it easily.
However, large and established players eg: the top 4 glove makers have lower cost advantage due to their economies of scale.

North Sabah contribution estimated for Q4 is abt 1.2 mil bbls including missing offtakes from Q3.
with 5% SST removed, could boost bottomline by RM12mil to RM15mil.

When the next qr results coming, everyone will rush to buy in the expectation of the offtakes missed in Q3 will be reflected in revenue and net profit.

Opec will increase another 200k pbl in July and August. Seems they need at least 12mth-15mth to replace the 1.8mil pbl crude oil supplied to EU which is 90% ban by year end.
Russia currently supplies crude oil of 5 mil pbl and 36% goes to EU bloc.

Actually, crude oil above USD100 pbl is already very profitable for o&g companies. Whether is USD110 or USD120, it's matter of earning more or a lot more.r
In view that, 2 major o&g companies ; Serba and Sapura have collapsed, that leaves the investing community with only Yinson, Dialog, and Hibiscus in Bursa.

Are you sure you are looking at the right chart?
With exception for the panic selling at the early stage of pandemic in March 2020, from Jan 2020 to June 2022, the stock price (adjusted for stock split) appreciated 44% excluding dividend. If you had collected it during the march 2020 selloff, you would have made 140%.

I think many people are getting frustrated with the company's ongoing issues whereby the great assets are not able to translate into great earnings consistently as expected.
There's many great o&g companies out there too eg: Occidental Petroleum Corp, Chevron Corp, Devon Energy Corp, etc

The windfall tax would affect around 10% of the earnings from UK.
It's a small gesture to provide cost of living assistance to the British in this difficult times.

My opinion is this IST group will require at least 5 years before it's able to provide meaningful contribution to MFCB
