Thanks for that. Missed that in the video. Clearly it's not RedCargo as I suspected earlier. He tweeted wrongly.
And I also said that last mile gonna bleed Airasia earlier today. I don't think so, if it's only doing airport. Last mile like GDEX, CJ Century and POS Malaysia really cannot profit punya. All bleeding.

Betkaukau, how long have you been holding AA and AAX? Banyak?

Toto, I'm really tempted to buy more but then, I'm starting to feel more that a global once-in-a-ten-year mega crash is really so near. The one that happened in 97/98 and 07/08. It's long overdue thanks to Trump and the bull that goes against fundamentals in the US. If US crashes, we will kena the splash effect.
Needa be careful with macro risks. Tread carefully. Even slight slowdown data in US this week has caused almost the whole Bursa to go red. So many foreign institutions are fleeing to the safety of bonds.

And BigPay will most likely absorb Big Loyalty. And BigPay will be used across board for all AirAsia's services. I believe with this, transactions on BigPay might double, triple, quadruple or more if this comes into play.

Anyway, biglife.com is coming on April 8. I'm now buying into his vision after selling 2/3 (due to uncertainties). AA for me is a big buy after watching the video AirAsia 3.0 shared by betkaukau. BUY if it continue to slide.

Okay btw, Tony mentioned that AA is going into last mile delivery, by acquiring a new company. As I suspected earlier, it's NOT RedCargo. (Not sure how the new company comes in)
Can be either absorbed into RedCargo (unlikely). Might be a new third prong along with RedCargo and RedBox.

Simple logic. How do I know all these? By talking to the man himself and listen to his speeches. Everything disclosed here are public information, obtained legally.
And when I share, so many people don't believe. Keep ridiculing because it's not written by analysts or not insider news.
Shows you how toxic this place is. People only want to hear what they believe.

RainT, are you smoking weed? MGM is of course not Genting. I clearly said that is a casino operator in the US. And yes, MGM is on another level alltogether compared to Genting
Then about clearer directions, I said wait for clearer directions. Can you even read? Of course, when there are too much uncertainties in the market, wait for clearer directions. Tread carefully.

I agree that Genting UK is just a tiny bit in the equation. A non-factor in fact. Main revenue from Singapore and Malaysia. Genting is so far safer than GenM due to its other businesses in the group -- GenS, Genting Plantation (down), power division (not that huge), Las Vegas, property, and resorts.

Careful, try not overextend ourselves and chase the price down. Best is to wait for clearer direction.

if a major crash happens in the near future, gonna wait until it bottoms up and buy more Genting. It's recession proof too. Good times, hard times, people still gamble. Hard times even more for me.

One scary point is FAANG stocks. Overhyped, overvalued. And there are so many like Tesla, Uber and other major tech stocks in the US that are making tons of losses and yet being valued so highly against fundamentals.
There are a few other points he raised. Watch a few of his videos. I do bought into his views calling for caution. Not the time to get out yet, but do practise caution. Be careful. Even if nothing wrong with Malaysian counters, if US tech and listed startups crash happens, we will kena the splash effect.

Emerging market and Asia seem fine. US is heating up beyond fundamentals thanks to Trump. If US goes horribly wrong, good luck to all of us. But then, Trump looks set for a second term. So jolly happy days gonna continue on.

Nobody knows about global selldown. We can only prepare ourselves and see how it goes. I really suspect a major crash will happen by the end of this year or next. Not there yet, but very close.

Fundamentals and everything intact. I even went in add more. But then, if global market crash like 97/98 and 2017-2018, habis all of us run naked. Once-in-10-years crash is long overdue, mainly because of the hype of Trump and his irrational policies. Many Americans think the bull created by Trump will continue.

That's why the tribe wanted to remove its elected leader, who wasted all the money, and some say, misappropriated the funds that were raised with the issuance of the notes.
2019-03-25 09:05 | Report Abuse
Good news indeed if the court verdict can be overturned in favour of the tribe. But remember, the tribe has spent almost all the money provided by Genting via the subscription of the bill.
That might mean Genting might need to pour more in, since the tribe is almost broke. Tribe cannot fund itself.

Most likely those orders will be converted into other Boeing models according to the ongoing developments in the US media.
Airlines gonna slaughter Boeing for the best rates possible, which might be an advantage for them to get cheaper but decent planes.
But for AA India, 91.8% load factor is impressive, especially with the disturbance in northern India. AA has regular flights to Amritsar, which while is quite northern, is not as north as Kashmir. But still, impressive feat.
Throwing seats cheaply can be seen in many ways. One, it encourages more people to fly, so more ancillary to be earn.
Two, decline in appetite to fly (less people buying at regular prices). That I don't really think is true since Malaysians incredibly love to travel. No travel can die. No savings nevermind.
Three, AA needs to cover for the even less revenue earned from flights. Cheaper flight tickets mean that need more ancillary to cover back. But with precise data targeting, hopefully this will be possible.
Not sure how advanced AA has gone with the integration and use of data into the frontline selling. Tony did mention mid-late last year that things are going well on that front. Waiting to see from next quarter. If heavy spike up for ancillary means extremely good news for AA's main money maker.

So there's this orang asli red indian tribe. It was supposed to be able to build a casino on its own orang asli land. So it issued a promissory notes, that were subscribed by Genting. Basically Genting wants to work with the to fund the building of a casino on the land.
(Copy pasted from The Edge story)
But then, the US DoI (Department of Interior) had issued a decision concluding that the tribe did not satisfy the conditions under the Indian Reorganisation Act that allow the Tribe to have the land in trust for the integrated gaming resort development.
That means the US government screwed the tribe, saying that the land cannot be used for building the gaming resort.
Also, the tribe's elected chairman and president who was supposed to manage the tribe's money also screwed them by mismanaging the funds, and the tribe has run out of money.
Remember, Genting funded them RM1.77bil by subscribing to the notes. Now money almost gone. Lots of them were used for lobbying but not sure what happened overall.
Genting is even funding the tribe right now in the ongoing court case to overturn the DoI decision, while at the same time trying to recover the RM1.77bil.
The money can already kiss goodbye.

Capacity grew yes. Load up. Yes. But AA has been throwing price for months. Due to access capacity. What helped just recently is the grounding of 737 Max by the Indonesian airlines (that's why they started to play dirty).
Their current and additional capacity kena cut, mostly moving to AA. Need to see whether the cap and load growth will be able to be compensated with even lower ticket prices (free and promo).

Yeah actually true too Betkaukau. Bookings usually are done in advance.
But hard to say whether it will be a best year or otherwise. Lots other factors will be in play other than ticket bookings. Operational costs is a concern.
Let's wait for the next quarter. If it's spectacular then I might add more. I prefer to have clarity than words of mouth from someone who was caught lying a few times.

Again, Fox being acquired by Disney isn't a good thing. Fox was okay with the deal with Genting, until it was agreed to be sold to Disney some time back. The current conclusion of the deal and finalised takeover doesn't mean much.
We might be in for a tough ride with Disney at the help, for a proper deal to happen. I don't think they will honour the agreement. AND, Disney has more firepower than Fox. Court case gonna be even tougher I believe.
