There is nothing much we can do. The whole O&G industry is being affected. It is through no fault of us nor Sumatec tht we have to bear all this hardship. HS has been very quiet and no news from him.

I am very sad with the turmoil that we are facing now. The hardship caused by the currencies crisis back in 1997 was a terrified nightmare. Be prepared for the worst my dear friends.

My guesstimate it may take between 4-6 mths the earliest...

Based on Q314 result which is historical now.. the intrinsic value of Sumatec was 35.7sen.

As you can see it, the price is very close to the last year's RI of 17.5 sen. Can it goes down below that? Remains to be seen.

It would take some time before things settle down. I am afraid it may lead from one crisis to another. Our bond and money market is quite fragile and thus our currency is under threat as well. Just be extremely careful..

Hi bro stargazer1! I am already free from O&G stocks. In fact I have disposed most of my stocks since the impact of the oil crisis may be severe to our country's financial and economic conditions. It is better to be on the sideline and waiting until the dust settled.

@Bro Sang-Jero, it is not only wise but very much advisable to exercise the RI in such scenario with a proviso that the prevailing MP and TERP is higher than the RI price at that particular time. To forego the RI would result in :

i. the dilution of shareholdings value in partcular and percentage. You should be concerned with the value since it would fall drastically post RI and you do not have the free warrant to cushion the impact.

ii. the opportunity loss on the free warrant

iii. the longer time factor to recover your reduced share price to pre RI MP and hence holding cost to you.

Please review the price movement chart of the previous RI last year to give you some indication and idea on the impact of such event.
