watchme, 4.49 is the major support today. You will have to make your own decision to buy or to sell.

But generally, given the volumes, there is not much buying interest, allowing the syndicates to tamp down and collect. I wonder why no buying interest?!

If you look at the selling pattern, the volume queuing to sell at 4.50, it's a clear sign of artificially tamping down the stock!

There is at least one syndicate doing this to KSL. They can do this as KLSE is not liquid enough and not regulating well. E.g. they should allow the broking firms' propreitory traders to short stocks. The Bursa is not ensuring a level playing ground. If the propreitory traders are allowed, all should be allowed to short!

watchme, the price is being manipulated. No one can tell for sure. It should have started heading North two weeks ago but as we can see, the price can move up or down at will at the launching of CA and CB!

The essential question is why is KSL appears to be languishing?! Anyone can offer an explanation? BTW I know about casino odds first hand! Casinos are for excitement (at the prospect of winning) and entertainment, not to win money! I've met 2 satisfied men who between them lost RM4500 over 48 hours! The house always wins, otherwise they will close shop!

Those put/call options are like casino bets. I stay out of it myself.

I am bullish on the KLSE, especially if weakness is due to foreign funds outflow back to the US. The strong performance of the companies will then come into play for bargain hunters. But I wonder why KSL, with such clear visibility in earnings and dividends, is still languishing!

Who said SKP won't see 3.09 again? Never say 'never' especially in view of instability in oil markets!

fortunebullz, good point. simonmn trade SKP on its beta at this stage! Crude prices still volatile. SKP price can go North or South up to or more than 50% depending on the direction of crude prices!

cch, good point on OPEC cooperation. But as you said, effect could be questionable, and especially so if the US unwritten strategy is to use ultra-cheap oil to revive the US economy and move some manufacturing back from overseas. We are in for interesting times!

As an example of what non-OPEC producers can do even if there is no cut: Brazilian 'pre-salt' crude so-called because it lies under a layer of salt off-shore and several miles beneath the floor of the Atlantic Ocean, i.e. ultra-deep, can be produced at a profit even if crude falls to USD45-50 per barrel. There are many billions of barrels in that oil-field alone. The Russians also have many billions of barrels in their gigantic Siberian and Arctic fields. If push come to shove, they may just produced for cash-flow and to use volume to minimise the revenue loss from lower price. So if there is no significant output cut, be prepared for a race to the bottom for crude prices. Go figure to see whether OPEC or Saudi can any longer control supply or price of crude!

Trading strategy is still best for SKP at this stage!

Hedge funds can't win in a producers' price war in an oil-glutted market!

If the fight is to protect market share, then it's a race to the new bottom for crude prices and costs' inconsequential. It then become a war of attrition between Saudi, US shale and Russian crude! All other producers are just pawns in the chess board!

KSL's fundamentals are very attractive. If the EGM goes as per resolutions, impressive Q3 results and BOD declares bonus and divvy, then KSL should rise past RM5.

The syndicate uses small lots 100 - 1000 or so to give the impression that it's the retailers that are selling. That way they create fear and deceive retailers to sell.

The price is being tamped down..by a coordinated sell/buy?

Bukit Tunku - the one besides Taman Tun? If so, I ran it with a friend 2 years ago. That's a very good hill to run in the evening. Yeah, with your determination, in no time at all you would be more than on par. Ladies have more stamina then men over longer distances. I must confess that I was overtaken recently on the mountain by a tall slim lady who did not even seem to be panting as she passed me at the 1400 feet level with long strides! I consoled myself by thinking that she must have started half way up the mountain. HaHaHa!

Also ex-divvy date. The volume, especially on the son is low. So few KSL shares in the market. Nearly everybody holding out for the bonus and divvy. So good chance for the proprietory traders and their ilks to try price manipulation knowing that investors expect the price to rise. They make it go down by salami-slicing tactics to collect as much as possible!

Price manipulation ..likely left selling to right hand as captain stkoay said. KSL is deeply undervalued share.
