Eunsung, in so far since listing in july, there is no formal reporting via Bursa Malaysia of any substantial shareholdings sales or purchase, those institutions holding more than 6% shareholdings. To know better on the shareholding spread, will have to wait for their 2017 annual report, released in 2018. Right now I think the info on shareholding spread is only available at the IPO issuing house Mayban investment bank.

Gick, there are times when I see all this no good publicity hovering around LCT it only serves as food for thought, but yet when I look into the various aspects of the parent company and the Pasir Gudang LCT, it is difficult to avoid having that level of believe and confidence on their due performance. So, for the moment I will stay with it.
Well its just that this cyber space for LCT now is a bit quiet, so i thought i might as well just occupy the space and communicate with you people. Gick, I think if LCT starts gaining momentum, and if this cyber space keeps on raining with comments, then i think its time we retreat and take a back seat to watch the commotion.

7 more trading days b4 we move into 3rd Q reporting season. Previously, it took the market maker about 14-15 trading days to move from 4.40 to 5.90 despite struggling through rough publicity. So what lies ahead? Just comparing with Pchem as a guide
1) Titan NTA is 4.59 compared to Pchem 3.47. Pchem is now traded about 2x NTA.
2) Pchem is trading 14.3 X EPS on prospective 56 sen / share for Y2017. Prospective EPS for titan is 58 sen/share.
Let's wait and see what the market maker has up in his sleeves!

Another big name with extraordinary incident. Nothing to do with LCT, but case in point is that mishaps in refineries and petro-chem plants, despite the best of risk management effort, do occur.

Tak boleh Apprentice: it will be a cash outflow, at balance sheet cash will be reduced and a corresponding reduction at the retained earning side of equities, and at income statement there will be increase in expenses due to listing purposes, and so reduce the net profit.
I still recall KRONOLOGI being hit by one time listing expenses, perhaps third quarter. Sama juga itu Peterlabs bhd in their first year after listing. Semua listed entities mesti kena bayar.

in 2016, the last 2 Quarters the NP total was 640 million. Off the cuff trend for NP and averaging the 640 mil over 2 quarters + extracting earlier NP info :
end March 2016 1st Quarter- 272 mil
end June 2016 2nd quarter- 404
end sept 2016, 3rd quarter- 320 mil,
end dec. 2016 4th Quarter -320 mil,
end march 2017 1st Quarter - 342 mil
end june 2017 2nd Quarter-113
end sept 2017 3rd Quarter- ?
In 2016 NP was 1316 mil , EPS approx 76 sen per share
On a rough cut basis looking at the trend from end june 2016 to end March 2017, Could end sept be equivalent, bearing in mind problems in 2nd quarter 2017 is isolated and one off only for that quarter?
Assuming the next 2 quarters, end sept and end dec 2017, is equivalent to previous year 2 quarters in total and minus 100 mil for expenses, they might generate 540 mil as NP.
Est total for 2017 is 995 mil, EPS 57.6 sen / share.
Ok, now comes the cumbersome part which is trying to smoothen all this info in relation to feed cost as a result of varying crude oil prices over that span of time.
Frankly, that is hair splitting, and I had rather go to sleep. Life is just too short, good night. LCT is fundamentally solid, so can sleep well.

1 rgt is about 260 korean won. So if Lotte chem Korea turnover is 3904 billion won, should be about 14.6 bil rgt. so the sales volume per Quarter is about 5 to 6 times as big as Lotte chemical Titan group operations, which is about 2 bil per quarter. Is that so eunsung?

China is at the economic cycle stage of maturity whereby conditions during the boom cycle has changed. So pruning is naturally the result with companies being weeded out if they do not fit the requirements of the economy. Even their locals are seeking expansionary opportunities in foreign land.
The move by Lotte to Indo could be deem to be strategic becos of their petchem entities currently operating there. Could Vietnam also be on their radar for future petchem entities while expending their retail ops? With all this tussle for power and business growth, this Lotte seems to be very aggressive. Is this typical of the Gang Nam's? Samsung, Hyundai, LG, and whatsoever looks to be on a global economic conquest.
2017-10-15 13:08 | Report Abuse
Enning 22, the article is retrospective of the confluence of factors on business which is creating ever growing complexity for on going concerns. We can imagine the cost implications of the transition period in their effort to transplant to another host nation. But I think such major significant co decisions by Lotte must have been carefully crafted b4 meticulous deliberation. And this cycle is just an evolution of its existence, trying to create the element of best fit into the global economy.
In this context, there are quite a handful of our Malaysian co which had to bear the expense of operating in a foreign host nation. Lotte might be spared from consumerism, but not when our co dealt with single host nations entity. Petronas, Ranhill, Mudajaya, Zelan, Edgenta, and few others had the bad experience of collection, to the extent of impairments and write-offs. This is the pain to endure in trying to meet shareholders expectations of growth. The seasoned old timer, the revered figure in stock markets, Ananda Krishnan, is now embroiled in a legal suit involving corruption in India. Word goes that the allegation might stick on him.
Indonesia is also rife with a host of difficulties in doing business. Kulim bhd (now privatized by Johor Corp) is attempting to transplant their palm operations from Indonesia to ... .. becos of land entitlement issues, drafted vaguely at the initial stages and still unresolved till today.
So, fortunately our LCT is just the Pasir Gudang old timer, being able to handle regulatory requirements and very experienced with local scenarios in doing business. Hopefully the turmoil at the board level of Lotte does not spill over to Pasir Gudang. But I believe the seasoned old timer gang nam fellas will not meddle with it. In this instance it is always the EGO that is detrimental.

Gick. I am embarrassed, but i have to admit from day one that FB was introduced in this country, I have never registered, so I don't have an account.
Pertaining to penny stocks, i think investors might not have much affinity with these penny stocks. It is more of the market players. But again some market players claim to be investors, while some investors cannot resist the temptation of the penny stock movement and so would wanna try dabbling with the penny stocks. This cross or mix breed in the market is substantial, that is why yesterday was like a fiesta or celebration for these stocks. Not often that we get to witness such huge trading volumes. Crazy eh!

Gick, Today is penny stock bubble day. They commanded most of the market volume today. Observe that Petron, HengYuan, was also thinly traded. Usually on days like this the big counters will just take a back seat.and watch.

gick, this low volume today is an indication that there is no strong selling pressure from other than the market maker, Guess it is now trying to form a new base for the next move. Recall that it has moved up in the last 6 trading days from 5.07 to 5.47. Come Monday and Teusday, we can observe the impact of the T4. But I think it should be well absorbed, becos the lots traded this round is relatively small.
This also show that T4 traders are shying away from speculating on LCT, taking the cue from the temporary shortcomings that the co experienced recently. Counters such as this is a taboo or no-no for T4 players. Perhaps the problems LCT encountered could be a blessing in disguise for current holders. If there are buyers perhaps they are potential holders.
BTW, you posted at around 6 pm, but no subsequent postings from anyone thereafter. Even people in the forum is also getting lethargic on this counter. So I reckon I might as well just open a conversation with you within this scary and quiet cyber space.

Aya newplayer 286, dont despair la. take it with a pinch of salt. Everyone has some % of losses in their trades. Warrants can be a killer albeit in both ways. Killer gains and killer losses. Least you are honest enough to admit your shortcomings. Like you said, you are on the learning curve in warrants trade, As you evolve in your trading activities, hope that you will acquire new experiences and knowledge. Who could ever predict that you might be a warrant king one day. Meantime go have a good lunch and wash it down with a cup of coffee. Get off the visual monitor. See ya!
2017-10-11 22:28 | Report Abuse
Newplayer 286, your entry price for the CF cannot be higher than 8 sen. If it is then you must have bought it very much earlier than 31st July, but max is about 10 to 11sen. As I recall, that day is when all the Cw's got dragged down to as low as 1 to 2 sen, with the exception of CE. In the run up of the LCT recovery period, when the price hit 5.90 the CFprice retraced to 8 sen.
a) Note that the mother share is on the uptrend for the past 3 days since you experience the uncertainties due to the temporary shortcomings faced by LCT. At 5.37 mother share, your CF retraced to 5.5 sen, considered fair value.
b) There is another 13 trading days b4 we finish off October. Do you believe that the mother share can go to 6 by then?
c) There is another 90 days from 1st Nov to the expiry of your Cf. You get zero if you hold till expiry if it is out of the money.
The issue here is to either salvage, recover, or lose totally. if you decide to throw tomorrow you might salvage 5.5 to 6 sen per share. If by end month or slightly later b4 Q3 report is out and if the mother share hits 6 and above you might recover as well as MAYBE profit a little. But you will only lose all if you WAIT till expiry when you already know that it is out of the money, and I am very sure you are smart enough to realize this fact.
If from now till Q3 report (estimate from 1st nov to 14the nov) if the stock is languishing around 5,5 to 5.70 then, I reckon say goodbye to your CF. At least you could recover values of around 6 to 7 sen.
My advise to you again, Dont look at the CF price now. I concur with super panda that if the mother goes up to 6 she will cuddle the children along. I think you problem is watching the screen minute to minute, putting yourself into unnecessary anxiety. Get away from the visual monitor and go do something less stressful. But I think you cant becos you are addicted to it.

extracted from the edge:
The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) today charged Goh Keng Huat and his wife Wee Siew Ling for insider trading offences under section 89E(2)(a) of Securities Industry Act 1983.
Goh was charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court for acquiring 851,600 units of Road Builder Holdings (M) Bhd (RBH) shares while in possession of material, non-public information between Sept 4, 2006 and Oct 16, 2006. He faces a total of 10 charges.
Even SC needs about 11 years to make the case stick with the wrong doers. So can imagine what the MSWG can do? Most probably just PUPPIES (minority shareholders watchdog group) barking up the wrong tree.

"We believe even with the clarification statement released by the company to claim that the impact of the incidences was minimal to the company, damage has been done and the incidences could have impaired the confidence of the investing public towards the company," MSWG said in its latest The Observer weekly newsletter.
I extract the above from the article.
MSWG said we BELIEVE... that is their believe which might not be consistent with reality. They say damage has been done to LCT.... COULD have impaired ....... the question is what is the extent of damage to the corporate image? COULD have implies position of uncertainty ....
a) The reality is MSWG dont have enough resources to determine extent of reputation damage and there is no way you can be certain about the corporate adverse impact within a short period of time from the incident occurrence.
b) I guess the whole thing surfaced from MSWG just for the sake of writing and taking the opportune timing to show their responsiveness.
Aya... MSWG, please tell me another story worth listening!
2017-10-09 22:32 | Report Abuse
I humbly apologize if my comments is not consistent with your believe system; My 2 sens worth:
There's no doubt MSWG is entrusted ( but no clout) to so call act in the best interest of minority shareholders. But this begs the question: What is in the best interest of minority shareholders? To protect them from being deceived, fraudulent cases and the likes of it? But then again deception and fraud has wide ranging definitions. Specifically, did LCT infringe any of the bursa rules to profit at the expense of shareholders. In this case NO..
a) To use the word regulate for MSWG is an overstatement. They might have policies based on accorded authorization conferred to them, and the procedures, but in as many years I have been in the market, they have no power to act except write only, becos that is what they will normally do. They have a benign existence, as they cannot enforce. Enforcement is SC's (Securities Commission) job. Ah.. SC is powerful becos they are a commission. Well Malaysia has many commissions such as the RCI for BNM forex losses, I am invoking this to give credence to the powers of the SC.
b) speakers or writer nowadays particularly enjoy spewing out issues of risk management, especially among the O&G fraternity, as there is the so call element of elegance in these issues. Unfortunately, MSWG positions itself too late on this issue. Risk management is about in anticipation, a proactive approach. If the issue is retrospective already occurred, it is only a risk control issue. Its like a school teacher telling the students please don't do it again. That's as far as it goes. Period! This write up from MSWG on LCT to me is perhaps someone in the MSWG office who wants to exhibit management elegance and competency of MSWG on current risk issues..
c) Hey, this gang nam fellas while their songs and entertainment is years ahead of this beloved country of ours, like wise their technology and management is also way ahead, while sometimes their culture and tradition can be very cumbersome. If the gang nam people did not treat risk as a major issue, Korea's engineering prowess will not be what they are today.
d) Try google some major O&G catastrophy, and big names will appear; BP, Exxon Mobil etc. These guys, time and again will be invited to speak on safety, environment and health globally. So did these companies formulated and implemented poor risk management? No matter how comprehensive your policies and procedures are, black swans will occur, random occurrences with huge impacts.
I guess maybe in this LCT case MSWG is inappropriately positioned. I suggest they go look at many other obvious scenarios that they can see and can address to create the needed impact to enhance their image in existence.

First thing, all LCT warrants are out of the money. Your CF expires on 31/1/2018. You have another 3 months 25 days, (107 days) left. The price of the mother share now is 5.10 and your CF is 4.5 sen. The Q3 results will be published anytime between another 26 days to 55 days from today. Digest this chronology of events first.
1) CF being out of the money, dont bother about the warrant price now. Look at the mother share. Simple, do you have confidence in the mother share rising within these 26 to 55 days to meet its valuations B4 the Q3 results are out? But I reckon LCT might even report on the 31st Oct. or 1st of Nov.
2) If Q3 result is superb maybe 250 to 300 mil, and if the mother share rises in tandem with the performance, your CF will rise. Since Q3 it is still far away from expiry, your CFwil still carry a premium.
3) If at anytime the mother share breaks below 5.00 with huge volume than we can suitably predict that LCT is not meeting Q3 expectations. Notice the mother share now is quite stable at 5.08 to 5.10, with fear and panic selling dissipating.
4) If your warrants go bust, all the other warrants will be worthless, toilet paper will be more expensive.
So the issue here is your confidence level with the mother share. If you believe that it will rise within the next 26 to 55 days, then your warrants will be taken care of. Don't worry about the exercise price and the ratios yet, as they are still far from expiry. Perhaps when come December then slowly the warrants will work towards the exercise price and pertaining ratios However, if you are skeptical, you know what to do.

To say that it will be flying this round, it is unlikely, becos he has about 30 to 57 days from today b4 the Q3 report is published. But I guess what will happen is that the market maker will work his way up gradually to meet the valuations of Q3. If you are a holder than i reckon you will have little anxiety. But if you T4, that's another story that you will have to bear.

Put yourself in the market makers position. With all the surrounding uncertainties, he knows that if he buys to push up, there will be many who want to exit. So he might as well shake off this potential sellers faster by creating fear on the downside. He has a month or so b4 the Q results are out. So there is still time. Previously the move from 4.20 to 5.4 only took him about fewer than 10 trading days. Between 4.48pm and 5 pm who do you think swallowed about 250 lots at 4.98?

Read this article b4 watching the chelsea-MC game, My 2 cents worth on the chronology of events:
20th sept fire incident.
25th sept singapore engulfed with so call offensive odor. Question: 5 days time lapse b4 reaching Singapore?
On the 25th, LCT issued the damage assessment statement. The NEW plant between 20th and 25th cannot be operating.
Story published 4 hours ago in the ST of Singapore. DOE Malaysia issued Stop work order on a weekend?
If the order was issued anytime between working days 25th and 29th, the market would have already responded, and therefore history.
Also if the stop work order was for the DAMAGED plant, that plant is a new project, no effect on their ongoing operations. Thats OK.
My take is that, Pasir Gudang is huge, a host to many chemical companies, and also there is no mention of the company's identity except for the clue from the fire incident. Chemical companies catching fire there is just another day in a fireman's routine.
If it was LCT then another PC shall be forthcoming to explain and defuse the situation. But I think Johoreans would have known about this, becos the market normally reacts to extraordinary occurrance info B4 the press issues the story.

Gick, would be interesting to note if Pchem goes higher then we can see whether this PE sets the benchmark for the industry. So far the PE is about 14.3. But the problem is that Pchem has EPF and PNB to contend with as buyers and sellers nearly everyday. What more with 4 times LCT no of shares outstanding, moving up 21 sen is not the usual affair for Pchem. Likewise, we also do not have info on institutional holders of LCT becos recently listed.
Unlike Pchem whose price has reached maturity for now, LCT has upward trajectory in open skies which must complement with its quarterly result. If the Gang- Nam guys were to do NP 350 mil, then we can see this fighter muscling his way through.
