Hi, May I know what is the procedure to transfer stocks from OSK to HLB? I am always overseas so would like to know if there is any convenient way other than walk-in to the Branch.
Just subscribe @ AmInvestment. Use of OLD N2N system. Not support Mobile Apps. First day already received a shocking Contract Statement such as brokerage fee charge incorrectly at 0.206% instead of 0.035%, need to rebate back for each time! Disappointed. Although cash balance at account can receive 0.75% p.a. interest rate and low brokerage. Overall, CIMB iTrade is much better and user friendly than AmInvestment. If still got another new problem, I will definitely close this account.
Morning fellow traders, if you're looking for lower brokerage (0.1% or min RM8), steadier trading platform and friendly service, please don't hesitate to contact Mr Edward @ 012-9022 474/ CIMB Investment Bank. Cheers!
Gd Afternoon,If you're looking for more limit for trading, please don't hesitate to contact Mr.Lee 0387323228/JF.Apex. We provide x4 cash limit and x3 share limit, which means if you bank in RM10,000 cash,we will give you RM40,000 limit. Yes,brokerage is important but don't you think bokerage RM12 with more limit is more worth compare to other broker.
Hello guy. I am would like to know what is the most cheapest brokerage in malaysia for foreign cross trading platform? I would like to invest in Nasdaq and in Singspore for diversification porpuse. Is there any local investment bank that have affordable brokerage for investing in foreign country? Please Pm me.
Hi all, i'm using Maybank nominee acc for trading. Previously they only charging me RM2.50 for every Div paid into my acc, but now the fee is RM5.83 for every dividend paid. I heard some bank din't charge for dividend, is that true?
Cheapest? Am not too sure but I'm currently using RHB (previously OSK). People complains about their platform but I have been with them for more than 7 years. Recently they just change to RHB TradeSmart with some good features. Liking it.
The remisier servicing me is excellent though I often trade online independently. Received daily market update too. Limit wise, quite standard with market but due to my tenure of trading and prompt payment history, she has given me more than I can utilize. No charge to dividend depositing. Fund withdrawing is easy and prompt too. Also using their platform to get my NYSE and SGX shares.
Rest assure, I am not the remisier trying to self promote but strongly believe she's good and deserve to be recommended.

Hi EDLCK nice to know you. Currently I am using Maybank(0.1% or min RM8) to trade. Slightly disappointed when they raise e-dividend charges to RM 5.83 recently. How much do CIMB charge on e-dividend? Should I decide to transfer my shares to CIMB are the transfer fee absorbed?
Previously CIMB has brokerage 0.0388% on trading or min RM 8.88?. Is it still available? T&C?
How about interest on trust account?
If I want to convert warrant(or loan stock) to mother share do CIMB provide the service? How about the charges?
Hi BN_menang, no charges will incur for e-Div since you'll having a Direct CDS.
Nope, transfer fee is payable to transferor side (MBB), we're not charging.
Yes, the one with 0.0388% is still available, but min RM10k deposit need to be maintained. There's a better option to go for TradeBeyond, which doesn't need to maintain min deposit, brokerage fee is 0.1%/ min RM8. Trust account interest is 1.0% p.a.
Warrant conversion you may submit it via postal/ courier, but we can guide you how it works. Fee payable to Registrar ranges from RM10-20.
By the way, does anyone know whether there is any trading platform (from any of the local broker) that has the stop loss function for stock trading/investment? I understand that RHB Tradesmart is supposed to have it but not yet because the OSK software haven't been fully migrated to it yet (after RHB bought OSK in 2012).

@pohwantam @hanxian I wouldn't know which one is "the best", because I've only had experience with Affin-Hwang (The Curve) and Maybank (Sunway Giza). Affin - not recommended because of the minimum charge of RM28, among other things. Not an issue if you are buying/selling RM8k worth in one transaction. However, not viable if your transactions are small. Especially with structured warrants and penny counters where you might not want to risk too much money. Would need at least a one-sen gain before you make a small profit.
I'm now with Maybank. It's much better than Affin based on my own experience and needs. Besides the RM12 minimum, the Maybank account is more flexible. Especially when you connect your savings account to the current (trading) account which will be opened. Can easily transfer from both accounts according to the need. The online trading platform is also more versatile than Affin's. But you MUST use Internet Explorer, else the trading interface won't appear. I'd prefer Firefox or Chrome. Have to get used to IE, unfortunately.
I had also considered Hong Leong and Malacca Securities. From my research, both are also very good. Plus CIMB too. But the nearest Malacca branch is at SS2, and I was reluctant to go there from Kota Damansara. Actually the physical location of where you open the account isn't really too important...because 99% of things could be done online. My choosing Maybank is mostly because I already have a savings account with this bank, and Sunway Giza is the nearest IB for me to register.
MatCendana....am not sure if Maybank trading platform is from Eforce (Excel Force) If it does then you still can use Firefox or Chrome but you need to download IETab add on extension. With this addon, the trading platform will runs in IE within Firefox or Chrome. That's what I am using now.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
