AmInvestment Bank offers the lowest brokerage rate at 0.035% or minimum RM6. It offers the lowest brokerage rate in the whole of Malaysia (compared to all the other brokers). Trading with the eDirect account with AmInvestment Bank and I am happy with the service so far. If you want to know more about eDirect, just go to www.amesecurities.com.my

Hi yongyou, for first time, you must deposit some cash first, then after you bought certain shares, u can use the limit from the share to buy another share, but after 3 working days you have to top up the money.

I can provide if you need it.

Posted by Edward Lee > 2014-08-29 15:26 | Report Abuse

Jenz Cheng: which foreign market u mean? CIMB can open trading account to trade foreign shares, including US, Singapore and HK shares thru online~~
yjsoh: u need to contact a dealer representative in order to help u open a share trading account. U may contact me if u r interested of CIMB one.

Dear All, I am trading via AmInvestment Bank. It is indeed the lowest brokerage rate in the market - 0.035% or minimum RM 6 and there are no hidden charges and no minimum deposit is required. You can always call the customer service at 03-20310102 to find out and clarify on these issues. So far I am enjoying the lowest brokerage rate and am satisfied with the customer service.

Posted by Superman009 > 2014-09-01 22:26 | Report Abuse

AmInvestment Bank - 0.035% or minimum RM 6 for cash upfront, no minimum deposit needed. Why pay more brokerage at Hong Leong? Anyway, just to share out good deals with you guys.

Posted by Superman009 > 2014-09-01 22:32 | Report Abuse

I just don't get it. If you are looking for low brokerage rate and willing to pay 0.0388% or min RM 8.88 at CIMB, might as well go for 0.035% min RM6 at AmInvestment... Anyway, happy trading. As long as we can earn gains from stocks, anything lar. It's just that with lower brokerage rate, we can trade more and maximise our profits.

whats the point of having low brokerage when its a cash upfront? You are giving your money for free even before you trade. It should have been zero brokerage, but then again no free lunch in this world.

Posted by Superman009 > 2014-09-03 11:42 | Report Abuse

AmInvestment Bank - 0.035% or minimum RM 6. I opened the eDirect cash account. According to the salesperson, there is also a eDirect Hybrid account whereby shares can be pledged (cash X 1 time, shares X 1 time), basically more trading limit at 0.035% or minimum RM6.

Good many open eDirect(cheapest online trading) acct so that AMBank can benefit.

Posted by Superman009 > 2014-09-08 09:36 | Report Abuse

There will be a salesperson to help you sign up the eDirect account or you can also walk in to AmInvestment Bank (at Jalan Raja Chulan and a few other branches, I am not very sure) to sign up. For me, the salesperson came to me. Let me search her name card... Just call Nichole Koh 012-6591667.

Hey guys, I have a little question here about the transaction cost of shares trading, can sifus here give advice?

For example if my brokerage fees is 0.7% (minimum rm40), clearing fees 0.03%, stamp duty rm1 for every rm1000 (maximum rm200)

Let's assume that I made the following purchase in 1 day:

Stock A: 10,000 shares x RM4.52 = RM45,200 (gross value)
Stock B: 10,000 shares x RM0.21 = RM2,100 (gross value)
Stock C: 5,000 shares x RM64 = RM320,000 (gross value)

So what is the total transaction fees payable for this investment?

METHOD 1:

Stock A: (RM45,200 x 0.7%) + (RM45,200 x 0.03%) + RM46 stamp duty
= RM316.40 + RM13.56 + RM46
= RM375.96

Stock B: (RM2,100 x 0.7%)+ (RM2,100 x 0.03%) + RM3 stamp duty
= RM40 (RM14.70 < min. RM40) + RM0.63 + RM3
= RM43.63

Stock C: (RM320,000 x 0.7%) + (RM320,000 x 0.03%) + RM200 stamp duty (max)
=RM2,240 + RM96 + RM200
=RM2,536

Total transaction fees payable = RM375.96 + RM43.63 + RM2,536
= RM2955.60 (round up from RM2955.59)

METHOD 2:

(Gross value of Stock A + B + C) x 0.7% = RM367,300

BROKERAGE FEES
(Gross value of Stock A + B + C) x 0.7% = RM2,571.10

CLEARING FEES
(Gross value of Stock A + B + C) x 0.03% = RM110.20 (round up from RM110.19)

STAMP DUTY
(Gross value of Stock A + B + C) / RM1000 = RM368 (round up from RM367.30, but maximum is RM200, so we calculate only RM200)

Total transaction fees payable = RM2,571.10 + RM110.20 + RM200 (max.)
= RM2,881.30

So which method is actually the real method?
Or there is another method used to calculate the transaction cost other than these 2 methods?

Please help! I am confused =/

METHOD 1 is correct

Posted by blackjeanz > 2014-10-22 20:00 | Report Abuse

my questions may sounds stupid but I think it's better to make it clear than pretending that u know everything when u'r not haha

the above brokerage and charges is very outdated. All the broker firms are offering much lower brokerage charge.
