STEM should be new Education Policy so that our children and grandchildren will not be lost in this progressive and competitive world. We need technocrats to develop our country. This cannot be done by arts and religion. Teach religion in the religious schools.

Children are learning in a system that condones rote learning, use of obsolete reading materials, and is neither conducive to correct character-building nor potentiating expression of curiosity, imagination, creativity, exploration and experinmentation.
Before talking what we want, we must be clear of what we don't want:
Children to be taught, guided or preached by wolves in sheep clothing because although they may fail to understand or follow instructions, but they almost never fail to imitate adults.

Although moral, celestral, astromythological, biological and historical knowledge gap has narrowed down due to new evidences from scientific research by sapiens of all creeds and ethnicities, students' understanding of themselves, living things around them and the earth still embarrassingly too redimentary, pathetically too superficial and unassumingly primitive at best (by any modern standard)
What has gone wrong? Major hindrance? What is stopping the innocent children from learning properly, becoming a simpleton (Pak Pandir abad ke-21) or the 21st Century misfits (Si Lebai Malang)?

GE15 and Msia Future : Hope Renewal Via National Education Reform
Zaid Ibrahim, the DAP chief in the East Coast, is cut for the PM of Msians. In the construction sector, labour-intensive inundated with obsolete technology has evolved from beong a solution (of pre-21st century) into a problem (of the 21st century's business model).
In the agricultural industry, revival has been slow, plagued by corruption.
Cowboy education will never go beyond the first version of encyclopaedia.......giving their overweight and diabetes-to-be students and teachers 'a fish a day' for breakfast and lunch, rather than teaching them 'how to fish' properly by understanding the modern world better.......overproducing frogs under the coconut shells by overfunding rote learning and memorization of outdated scripts, compromising budget for facilitating them to keep abreast with new development around the world......helmed by impotent ministers who emphasize form over substance.......ethinicity over meritocracy
How their cowboy nations gonna survive? Just by inflating the people's ego five times a day? And dignity? Just like that?
They can waste all the finite energy and resources to hold endless summits and congress - talk and talk till the cows come home, but won't karma hold them back?
Not till they become honest enough to admit that using the obsolete version of knowledge compilations would be a handicap.
Not till they become enlightened enough to set free of their people from imaginary boundaries (irrrelevant to the 21st century) , and encourage them keep abreast to the latest understanding of how the society, world business and universe work
Not till they become prudent enough to stop funding futile effort in limiting and policing the people's mindset - what and how they should think. Just educate them about the current era-appropriate laws.
How many 21st Century teachers fail their students, and why students fail themselves by not updating their knowledge to include modern day's god and ghost particles? Still talking about exorcism of tetanus and its risus sardonicus and opisthotonus?
Accountability, Responsibility and Meritocracy starts young - from school days
The educational quality of our national schools has greatly declined over the last three decades primarily due to the lack of competent teachers and effective school leaders. We are all paying the price for sacrificing quality for a narrow racist agenda and mediocrity. In the words of a close Malay friend of mine, "Singh, tak ada kualiti, tak apa. Janji orang kita yang jadi cikgu dan pengetua."
To improve the quality of education in National schools, inept and incompetent principals have to be be replaced, teachers whose children they taught failed continuously in the subjects they taught, have to attend a retraining course and if they fail, they have to leave or be channel to Kindergarten schools. National schools need a completer overhaul and it has to be done sooner than later to avoid wasting of public fund and producing Pak Pandirs and Lebai Malangs.
National schools have been heavily financed by the government, fully equipped with modern facilities, with trained staff and well paid administrative support. By right, they should have produced better results and have students bringing home more gold and silver medals in International competitions. But this is not the case
Many and serious problems would be a more appropriate starting point for further analysis and remedial action. Infrastructure by way of buildings and equipments goes to waste and will have no enabling effectiveness if there is insufficient competence in educators, lecturers , teachers, trainers and instructors.
Absence of sustaining an in-depth as well as a comprehensive form of mainstream curriculum at various levels is another easy street approach to retarding human development.
The national opportunity cost is proving to be rather exorbitant due to misplaced values in human development and due to a stunted approach in socioeconomic engineering.
a) technical course in operating equipment and trades for those cannot pass AI (as mentioned above).
b) courses in English, Chinese, Tamil, Bahasa khat, planting padi, tapping rubber, collecting kelapa sawit and lorry driving and housekeeping and cooking for those that cannot make it in either.
Stop wasting time, get politics and religion out of education, appoint career educationists to head the education departments, go after all the extremists religious NGOs, and your problem is solved.

PM must look into the capability, creditability and credential of VCs of all public universities. If they are not good, better replace them with capable ones. For the sake of the young minds and country future, There shall be no mercy if we want to see better results for all public universities.
