Most of these Research Guys are given limited funds for field work and Research. So they can only do so much by budget constrain.

The easy way out is to stick to popular Bank stocks & Blue Chips or Proven 2nd liners which everyone for the same consensus.

So few will dare to pick overlooked (unpopular) deep value stocks that can make 100% to 200%.

To go out of the ordinary or common is taboo to their superiors. So they just toe the line year after picking similar types of popular stocks. And by the law of average their only give mediocre results.
