buy using Fundsupermart or eunittrust lo, the sales charge capped at 2% and sometimes during promo can get 1% or lower sales charge. more choice of fund than public mutual too. Also allow you to gain exposure to foreign market.
M'sia ETF fund are very limited and volume very low. now SC has new guideline, hopefully some company can launch ETF for small cap index

@ks55
"Insurance companies cheat if you go for investment-linked policy. "
May I know where to get non investment linked insurance?
Mostly I found is Term Life, Personal Accident, TPD, Medical and Investment 5 in 1 package insurance policy.

@kholi, I did summary of three major insurance company fund performance. if you interest other insurance, you can study with the link i provided in article.
@kcchongnz, welcome visit my blog. you are great investor.
@ks55, thank you for agreed the charge rate of unit trust is sky high. however, REITs is not risk free. They are different investment instrument.
@repusez, ETF is great investment instrument, but it did not popular in Malaysia. i have not study ETF in Malaysia
hi 林泉源, I input all fund performance into spreadsheet, then calculate the CAGR. Yes, the CAGR are calculated all the same category fund under the same fund house.
Manulife data is included, see the raw data in the link, row 84 to 95 in the table. for insurance I only summary 3 big players.
@Kekh92, you can ask your insurance agent for conventional/ non-investment link policy. but premiums is high. not recommanded too. as I mention make your own choose correct fund for policy
@Mioxi, I m not sure how asnb's fund work, it good topic to study

@Asriel Chok-Jevon

Very good info... it would be even great if there is performance analysis for all insurance companies in Malaysia.
