While ECRL is noble & good, gestation period to reap its return will be v long; i'd say the billions to be spent on the project would have been better off to pump prime the economy and to uplift people's living standard & decrease cost of living which is continously escalating by the day

That would be a socialist welfare system. That's not the govt's job, which is more to build infra although in this case, the cost is greatly pumped up to benefit certain parties.

When can ECRL actually start? PM said year end why not after GE? If BN lose in GE 14 will opposition continue ECRL?
