Damn stupid to put cart before horse.
Expenditure suits income not otherwise.

If your income is RM 2650, allocate 20% for accommodation including utility bills like water and electricity.

How are you go to get accommodation within your budget.
Use cow sense a bit.

See how university students can live near to their campus yet they still have weekend outing with their girl friends.
Learn from them.

If median household income is RM 188k per annum, most people with that type of income should be able to buy house @ rm 750k.

RM 372k housing price only took their 2 years income. Don't tell me they cannot afford a RM 372K apartment?

PF spending guide vastly understates real costs, finance portal argues
Author: savemalaysia | Publish date: Thu, 4 Apr 2019, 3:01 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, April 4 — Recommended budgeting in the Employees Provident Fund’s (EPF) Belajawanku is unrealistic for unmarried Malaysians residing in Klang Valley, according to an iMoney survey.
RAIDER ASK LAH...WHAT SO UNREALISTIC, REMEMBER ITS UNMARRIED WOH ??

Among others, the financial comparison site noted the EPF’s budgeting guide suggested a single person staying in the Greater Kuala Lumpur area should set aside just RM300 monthly for accommodation. BETUL MAH..IF U R A SINGLE PERSON SHARE A 4 ROOM APARTMENT COST RENTAL ROUGHLY RM 1000 PER MONTH...!!
THAT IS ROUGHLY RM 250 PER ROOM LOH..!! IF U HAVE A ROOM MATE, THAT WILL COST U ABOUT RM 140 EACH PERSON N IF U PAY FOR UTILITIES ETC RM 160 ALLOCATION MORE THAN ENOUGH LOH...!!

However, iMoney said its poll of around 1,000 respondents found actual spending to be closer to RM1,100 monthly. CORRECTLOH IF WANT TO LUXURYLY 1 PERSON SAPU THE WHOLE APARTMENT AND PAY ALL UTILITY THAT EASILY WILL COST RM 1100 PER MTH LOH..!! RAIDER SEE THIS FIGURE IS ACTUALLY FOR 4 TO 6 PERSON LOH....!!

“This brings their monthly (housing) budget up by over 360 per cent when compared to the budget allocated by the Belanjawanku guide,” iMoney asserted in a statement today. THIS IS DUE TO LUXURY LIVING WHERE U CANNOT AFFORD MAH...!!

It also pointed out that the average price for a residential home in the region was RM372,801 while annual median household income was RM188,208.
iMoney lauded the federal government for schemes to aid and boost home ownership but said more must be done to address most Malaysians’ inability to afford to purchase their own homes. GO & RENT LAH WITH A RM 1200 PER MTH U CAN GET ACCOMODATION FOR 6 PERSON LOH...!!

It also said its poll found a 370-per cent rise in personal loan applications from 2016 to 2018, which iMoney concluded as suggesting Malaysians were struggling to cope with actual living costs. DEPEND HOW U SPEND MAH...!!

According to its other findings, a typical person with one car and residing in Klang Valley must spend an estimated RM2,695 monthly even before personal care expenditure, annual commitments or allocations for savings. TO RAIDER ACCOMODATION PLUS UTILITY RM 300, 2ND HAND CAR COST RM 200 PER MTH PLUS RUNNING EXPENSES RM 350 A MONTH. COSTING RM 850 PER MONTH & NOT RM 2700 PER MTH MAH...!!

With Belanjawanku listing median income at RM2,650, iMoney said this meant the majority of singles in the Klang Valley would be running a monthly deficit.
“It’s definitely a warning sign if their expenditure is higher than their wage,” it cautioned.
OF COURSE, IF YOUR HOUSE & TRAVEL EXPENSES IS RM 850 PER MTH, YOUR LIVING EXPENSES FOOD & ENTERTAINMENT RM 1OOO A MTH SHOULD BE ADEQUATE LOH..!

iMoney then touted its iMoney CreditScore tool available on its website for Malaysians to examine the health of their credit and finances.
The EPF launched Belanjawanku last month and gauged the minimum monthly expenses for essential goods and services to help Klang Valley households plan financially for a comfortable standard of living. I THINK THEY SET TOO COMFORTABLE LIVING, RAIDER SAYS RM 2000 A MTH IS MORE THAN ENOUGH EVEN THEY OWN A CAR LOH...!! IF THEY OWN A BIKE THEY NEED ONLY RM 1500 A MONTH LOH...!!

The guide will be expanded to other states soon.
Concerns about rising costs continue to plague the country notwithstanding last year’s change of government.
THE GOVT NEED TO BE REALISTIC LOH ABOUT THE WAY OF LIVING MAH...!!
