Demonstrators on Friday and over the weekend are reiterating calls for the government to address their five demands: withdraw the extradition bill, an independent inquiry into the protests and perceived police brutality, a halt to descriptions of the protests as "rioting", a waiver of charges against those arrested, and resumption of political reform.

all silly demands.......the real cause for dissatisfaction are economic ones...their highest salaries in the world cannot buy them 100 feet.....unless they can control developer profits, their economic lives can never improve....unless they have Singapore style HDB flats, their economy is doomed.

Exactly! What is the value of this pride ?? Zero value except for bragging online. LKY is wise and correct. LKY does not allow unbridled capitalism in S'pore.
