1. war and rumours of war

1st and 2nd world war in last century

2. earth quakes (2004 Indonesia earthquake the worst as it created tsunami

3. pestilence (aids, bird flu, HIV, now coronavirus)

4. famine in China 1960s and more to come

Inflation has reared its ugly head in many countries. The central bankers are strategising to control inflation without killing the vulnerable growth in their economies. Using measured steps in increasing the interest rate to fight inflation, they are forever vigilant to what follows after each intervention. Stagflation may result should inflation not be controlled and growth in economy stifled.

Totally not necessary to write a religious explanation for now.

Plantation owners are happy today. Big plantation owners are happy and yet sad too. Spoke to one who said it was sad to see such valuable fruits on the trees unharvested due to labour shortages.
