Not so long ago having a car is seen as prosperity.... nowadays not so much.

Nowadays people see convenience, having first class infrastructure, good environment, gardens, parks, relaxation, no traffic jams, cheap public transport as signs of prosperity....and America the car loving country is seen as ugly, it's infrastructure non existent, ...actually below the standards of many developing countries.... like that still want to be the hegemon?

America media China media

Which has built a better country? Opinions changes but as at 2023, by now, without doubt China has built a better society.

More harmony, people has better informed expert opinions, more knowledgeable, united, better morals in society,

Look at America society... everyone at everyone throats, nobody knows what to believe, all become cynical , hypocrites, the only thing that unites them is start foreign wars , strike out at others, internally it's a big mess, , media and politics is about sound bites, shallow, really no difference between politics and show business

Democracy is the basics to achieve Universal Human Rights. Universal Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and many more. Everyone is entitled to these rights, without discrimination. All the countries which joined the United Nation have signed the same Human Rights Declaration. Of course, there are still many countries have their own different interpretations.

Why US is the no.1 technology and innovation in the world because US attract all type of capable races to carry out foundamental research and technology invonation under the democratic environment. Americans think out the box and express their point of views withour fears and discriminations. They respect copyrights. Venture capaitals attract large amount of funds from private and goverment to carry their tasks. They dont just blindly follow the leaders with only to achieve one goal because they are free to proceed to achieve multiple tasks at one time.

Thats why I believe democracy is the fundamental of success of a country. I dont deny democracy could be abuse due to some politicians and pressure groups to achieve their selfish goals. We just need to have a good system and Laws to guide it. Most important is education.

US democracy can only produce Biden and Donald Trump for US citizen to choice which one to be President of USA.
Is that the best and only choice?

Please go and ask minority the black and yellow Americians do they feel safe?
Isn't the very basic Universal Human Rights is to feel safe?

No on is safe in Amerika because of gun violence and hate speech by thecway Trump has to most hate speech.

I believe KMT will not win the next Presidential Election due to two reasons. First, the Hong Kong issue in 2019 stimulated Taiwanese people’s fear of Beijing which pushed them to support the DPP. Second, the party infighting of both the KMT and the Taiwan People's Party led by Ko Wen-je. Until now KMT is still a mess can't have a concensus Presidential Candidate. Most important root cause is the identity-shifting of Taiwanese society and generational change since the 1990s.

US democracy can only produce Biden and Donald Trump for US citizen to choice ..

Ans: Two parties will have their own preliminary selection of candidates.

US is not 100% led by the President, it is the political system. don't forget the Congress House which come out with the policies

If you want to change a nation narrative you can easily do so by changing the education narrative.

Know why Japan invade China and do not feel guity nor apology for the war atrocity? This is because those in power change the education history narrative.

DPP when in power has change the history narrative and teach school children to hate mainland China.

This is a list of war apology statements issued by Japan regarding war crimes committed by the Empire of Japan during World War II. The statements were made at and after the end of World War II in Asia, from the 1950s to present day. Controversies remain to this day about war crimes of the past and the appropriate person to make the apology.

1970s
September 29, 1972: Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka said to the people of the People's Republic of China: "The Japanese side is keenly conscious of the responsibility for the serious damage that Japan caused in the past to the Chinese people through war, and deeply reproaches itself. Further, the Japanese side reaffirms its position that it intends to realize the normalization of relations between the two countries from the stand of fully understanding 'the three principles for the restoration of relations' put forward by the Government of the People's Republic of China. The Chinese side expresses its welcome for this" (Joint Communique of the Government of Japan and the Government of the People's Republic of China).[10]

Action speak louder than words.

Yasukuni Shrine of the 2,466,532 people named in the shrine's Book of Souls, 1,068 are war criminals who were convicted of war crimes, including 14 people who were tried by the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, following World War II.[1] Because of the decision to honour individuals who were found responsible for serious breaches of humanitarian law, China, Russia,[2] South Korea and North Korea have called the Yasukuni Shrine an exemplar of the nationalist, revisionist and unapologetic approach Japan has taken towards its conduct during World War II.

Do you see any German post war leaders pay homage to NAZI war criminals?

Brandt famously fell to his knees after adjusting the wreath ribbons at the Warsaw Ghetto memorial on December 7, 1970.

Will any Japan leaders do so at Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders?

Germany won respect by addressing its World War II crimes. Japan, not.

HOW DID MALAYSIA AND JAPAN’S RELATIONSHIP HEAL AFTER WW2?
After our independence, Japan apologised to Malaysia, and we accepted it
Just after our independence, PM Kishi paid a visit to Malaya and personally apologized to the Sultan of Selangor, who at that time was the Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

The apology was very nice of them but what our PM announced around the time of PM Kishi’s visit to Malaya was also really beautiful:

“Our policy, then and now, is to be at peace with the world, so when Mr. Kishi expressed a wish to come to Malaya, I naturally welcomed the idea. I believe that the past should not dictate the present and future. If you cannot forget, you can still forgive. Let bygones be bygones is the best path to peace.” – Tunku Abdul Rahman

Our PM then returned the gesture and visited Japan the year after. Both of them then released a joint statement at the end of his trip to Japan, saying:

“… lawatan ini yang menyusul selepas lawatan Perdana Menteri Kishi ke Kuala Lumpur memberikan peluang kepada kedua-dua pihak menjalin hubungan peribadi antara mereka. Hubungan ini membolehkan mereka bertukar-tukar pandangan secara lebih rapat dan dapat mempertingkatkan kerjasama antara mereja.”

which roughly means, “…this trip that followed PM Kishi’s trip to KL gave both parties a chance to form a personal relationship with each other. This relationship allows us to exchange our views and heighten our cooperation.”

These two trips marked the beginning of a much closer and friendlier relationship between the two countries.

Deng Xiaoping visited Tokyo in 1978 and again in 1979. The records of these visits are important for understanding Sino-Japanese relations, the rise of China, and Japan’s role in the Cold War.
The October 1978 Visit
Sources related to Deng’s first visit, in October 1978, include the record of Deng’s talks with Japanese Prime Minister Fukuda Takeo, as well as records of talks between Japanese Foreign Minister Sonoda Sunao and Chinese Foreign Minister Huang Hua.

The purpose of Deng’s visit was ostensibly to exchange instruments of ratification for the new Japan-China peace treaty signed in August 1978. In fact, however, the trip was an opportunity for Deng to recruit the Japanese leadership in a worldwide Chinese struggle against the Soviet Union – a struggle that was coming to a head in Indochina. At the same time, the trip was an opportunity for Deng Xiaoping to study firsthand the remarkable development of the postwar Japanese economy at just the time that Deng was envisioning the transformation of the Chinese economy under the Reform and Opening program.

The importance of the economic program is reflected in Deng’s itinerary. In addition to his talks with Prime Minister Fukuda, Deng also toured a Nippon Steel plant, a Nissan auto plant, met with Japanese industrial and business leaders and the leaders of Japan’s most important industrial and economic organizations like the Federation of Economic Organizations (Keidanren). Deng’s highly publicized tour, which included a meeting with the Japanese emperor was also an important symbol of a new era of friendly relations. In many ways, Deng’s trip to Japan was a forerunner to Deng’s more well-known visit to the United States in January 1979, which, in fact, provided the opportunity for Deng’s second visit to Japan.

xi Jinping has set a target of 2049 for China to be first in all aspects, not just economy. This is acknowledgement China is still a work in progress. Plenty of work left to do. But confident will get there.

What CPC wants is China to be admired. Taking inspiration from ancient history when China is the center of civilisation. The CPC wants the world to admire the Chinese civilisation. ..and the people wants that, they are on all board in the project.

that is for foreigners, its very easy to cari makan in China. For a foreigner, all u have to do is praise them, u will be welcomed, can cari makan. U will be very welcomed. But they can see a fake if u try to fake it.

traditionally, China is not about military....traditionally China is about tea drinking, poetry, singing, dancing. appreciating the good life. .....military is necessary only in the context of the century of humiliation.
