@khaizam, it works like this, N2N & EForce actually works almost the same, a % of revenue are generated through subscription of service. while another % of revenue are from volume transacted, therefore yes N2N & EFORCE both will be benefited from high volume in the market this is definite
Sure eforce will benefited from high volumn transaction especially the trend of market now. The higher transaction, the earning is more. It will become black horse in this kind of market
While the economic outlook ahead is gloomy, there is a silver-lining in this crisis. Bursa Malaysia achieved record high daily trading volume and value in recent months. The new daily trading volume norm of 7 to 9 billion recorded at Bursa Malaysia seems to have sustained. These are good news for our customers (stockbrokers and bankers) and to Excel Force. The high volume transactions contribute positively to our ASP segment and will offset the negative impact of an economic slowdown.
^ From quarter report, EForce management already state clearly it is good news with bursa high volume
Based on the last 3 quarter reports, the contribution of ASP (income from outsourcing service charge which is volume & transaction based) is as below: Q1-20: 68% Q4-19: 70% Q3-19: 66%
while the other 2 sources of income are: a) application sales b) Maintenance services
Considering the high contribution % of ASP to the total revenue of EFORCE, logically the revenue of EFORCE shall significantly improved in Q2 and Q3 2020 along with the continuously high transaction in KLSE.
IMHO, EFORCE shall benefits more than N2N from the high volume of KLSE in last 5 months as >50% of N2N revenue is contributed from Hong Kong rather than KLSE.
To me, the only unknown are: 1) who exactly are the customers of EFORCE in KLSE? 2) how exactly is the transaction/colume based ASP working? If the transaction increase 100%, will the revenue of EFORCE also increase 100%? or lower/higher?
By the way, any recommendation to the website where we could see the line chart that showing the daily volume of KLSE?
Roger3210. Mind to share more insight on your view why eforce wont benefit much from high daily volume? Is it based on their report? or you have more insight on their charging model or business operations? or they have explained how it works in the past AGM etc? I assume you must have some basis for your view.
I am interested to know more as I am struggle to find this info online. Thanks.
All these comments about eforce not gaining from high daily volumes/value really amazes me. Eforce is a direct benificiary from high trading volumes/value.
Eforce claims that it has a 50% market share of total volumes/value traded (from its website). If you want to get a sense of how it works, you can work backwards for 4Q19 and 1Q20. Dividing ASP segment revenue by 50% of total volumes or value traded. Then when u get the average revenue/per value traded, multiply it by 2Q20 value traded. All these information are available on the bursa website. Eforce gets a fixed percentage cut out of every trade from its clients.
After doing this, you'll see that Eforce will likely record its best ever quarterly profit since its listing. If not the best, at least 2nd best (1Q13; RM2.7m). 2Q results will be at least 100% up y-o-y.
This is a boring tech stock but its probably one of the most fundamentally sound ones. 5 year average PE is 45x, assuming a 30x PE based on FY20 earnings, Eforce could be worth at least RM1. This is on the assumption that average trading value for 2H20 is RM5bn/day, which is much lower than 3QTD average value traded. N2N is also a beneficiary but it is not as direct as Eforce as only 40% of its revenue is from Malaysia.
I got it from AllianceDBS' report. Think you can ask any of your friend who has a brokerage account with Alliance. Sellside brokers extract their PE data from Bloomberg Terminal.
