Daya Materials Bhd has bagged a RM124.43 million contract from TPC (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (TPC Malaysia) to undertake expansion of a manufacturing facility in Kawasan Perindustrian Bebas, Fasa 3, Bayan Lepas, Penang.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Daya said its 51%-owned subsidiary Daya CMT Sdn Bhd had accepted a letter of award from TPC Malaysia for the proposed expansion.
The scope of works includes building a four-storey factory building, an elevated link bridge connecting to the existing factory, a two-storey cafeteria/kitchen, locker and breakout building expansion, and a hazardous waste store.
The duration of the contract is for 14 months from Nov 13.
Daya said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of the group.
