Base on past three year earnings average 2018-2020 @ 44 sen/year, with today closing of 3.16 the PE is about 7.0. NAP drop from RM6.18 to RM5.22 is a temporary setback, as you can see, ABMB/BIMB are with lower NAP and higher PE at current price.

Furthermore, there are adequate capital buffers to absorb this settlement without an immediate need to raise additional equity capital.

Hence , IMHO, if the price drop below 3.0, a buying opportunity would probably surface, and if it drops to March 19 panic sell level of 2.8 that would probably be a good buy.

Current nta 6.4 - 1.0 = 5.4, recent price 3.2/5.4 = 0.6. So pb value is 0.6 instead of 0.5, lose about 10% of retained earnings 20b. There’s a reason that the price stuck around 3, institutional investors/ funds knew about this all this while

Listed more than 17 year already nta only rm6.12. Now this happpend direct affect 93sen, 15% of the nta.
They can't get much profit as previous qr already.
Capital cash loss 2.3b, if they can utilise this 2.3b earn 5% mean profit down 115m per annum.

Actually in the US, bank management will be sued by the shareholders and compensation will be recovered from them. Only in boleh land management can still get esos and paid high salary and get away with losing 10% of retained earnings

MorganStanley, BankofAmerica, LemansBrothers, etc where JUSt fined. Pay ... Ans say 'Sorry". After That Continue to "%#$$%@#@#$%$%" and if CAUGHT ....Pay Fine Again. Govn should have curtail their Business licenses. Like No More Foreign Transactions ( Funds, Currencies, Etc ) Thus STOP ..Money Luandering . Then CUT their Branches Licenses by 50%. ALL Rural branches are to be SHUT DOWN. This will STOP .... "PayOFF" to cronies, etc that contributed to 1MDB. Then AMMB will NO LONGER be given ACCESS to InterBank MM or Govn Bonds/Treasuries. ........... This will SERVE as a WARNING to other BANKS about stopping activities like 1MDB. ............... BUt this is WISHFUL THINKING. Govn/political parties/etc are too entrenched with "I help you ...You Help me " ....

very likely to get it at the opening due to panic selling, expect the price to slowly recover after open
at 2.22, pbv is 0.4 and pe is 7.4 assuming eps 30 cents/share earnings
if you think not cheap enough, buy in batches

94 sen loss per share. It will exceed the day 1 limit down. With panic sell, it might drop more. Overall I think that price will be circa Rm1.6. Due to drop of market cap, cost if fund, bf, and many things will change. Ammb might need private placement to further dilute the current share holders to rm1.20 to survive or end up assets stripping like what CIMB likes to do. End up shell only. My bet is they will try merger and selling their business big chuck like insurance or investment.
