@xxxx. May be you wish to elaborate how MBB could down badly after ex date. Assuming prior to ex date MBB closing price is 9.80, of course its ex date price will be 9.49. This is below 9.50 like what you said. Is this bad? Anyway, everyone wishes any stock price could stay higher.

Mbb divi averagely 58-6x cents in recent year. So if i could earn 75cents as of today. It means I already earn more than a year div

MAYBANK is still in bull market. Not interested in selling before ex-div, and buying back after ex-div. The rule about bull market is sit tight. In time, what goes down will go back up and make new highs, if all else equal.

Well for Maybank holder, the trend have been positive. I am in for a quick swing trade, as I entered only recently. Looking to sell before ex-date. Let's see if my trade plan can materialise. Am still a newbie, looking to trade using a consistent trade setup or playbook. Sticking to my plan to see before ex-date. The price movement has gone up quite fast for a short period, and from previous trend, price tends to fill back the void it missed. And in this case, Maybank could retest back to the price range of 9.00 to 9.50. Whether it continues to 10 and beyond, would be depending on many factors which I am not smart enough to predict.
