Does investor really get 7% dividend ----some part goes to Govt . As retiree surely cannot claim back from Inland Revenue . Is that correct ? So as retiree --- how many % does one get ?
The Board of Directors of Berjaya Sports Toto Berhad wishes to inform that its listed subsidiary, Berjaya Philippines, Inc. (“BPI”), had on even date released an announcement to the Philippine Stock Exchange ("PSE") that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Philippine Gaming Management Corporation, has entered into a Supplemental and Status Quo Agreement with the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office to maintain the status quo existing as provided in the Interim Settlement Agreement for a period of three years from 22 August 2015 or until 21 August 2018, pending the resolution of the issue on the exclusivity rights through arbitration proceedings.
A copy of the said announcement released by BPI to PSE is attached herewith.
Extension is pending arbitration proceedings. So it is not really confirmed yet. In Philippines, anything can happen. It's like the Malaysian environment now...
dun worry, our fren say buy...limayseng Buy around 3 n collect dividend every qtr is the answer to the present lacklustre market. Dividend pa is around 20-25c. This amount is better than putting FD in local banks earning 3.2 % pa.
if look only for dividend, buy Tasek better as Tasek price is quite stable, Even BJToto gives good dividend, the dividend you receive cannot cover the price drop.
Seeing from the history, share buyback from BJTOTO.
They might give out dividend in terms of shares (1 treasury shares to 60 to 75 shares); based on 5 or 4 cents dividend per shares. Depends on their 1st Interim financial result.
Estimated announcement might be around late 3rd week of September.
they need to buy back at least another 20m shares in order to give out shares div. there will be at least a month or two to do the buy back to achieve that.
Hope the mgt will not disappoint the shareholders in the Sept 2015 1st pay out as well as the co owned treasury shares amounting to 11.53 mi shares to date....
As what smartly said, they need time to buy back another 20m shares in order to give out shares div, so hope this round will be in term of cash. Next round, only shares dividend.
can anyone advice what does this mean? don't know how to calculate
The distribution of share dividend on the basis of one (1) BToto treasury share for every one hundred and forty (140) existing BToto ordinary shares of 10 sen each held (“Share Dividend”).
a simple math, if i buy 1000 lot, 1000/140=7 extra shares. Dividend = 1000x0.025=25. Then 25+(7x0.025)=RM25.175. Then, roughly 25.175/(1000x3.15) = 0.8 % for this cycle...Compare to usual dividend rounds of around 1.6%
The total dividend = 2.5 sen (cash) + (1/140 x 3.12) = 2.5 + 2.23 = 4.73 sen.
I hate share dividend. It dilutes the EPS, further causing a decline in share price. I'm not upset with the management because I think there are other forces at play.
