Paramount Corporation Bhd aims to launch properties worth RM1 billion by next year as sales momentum continues to be strong for the property industry.

Group chief executive officer and director Jeffrey Chew Sun Teong said the company is optimistic about achieving the sales target given its robust performance during the first half of 2023.

"We need to have a revenue of RM1 billion or more. This means that our property launches will have to be worth more than RM1 billion,” he told reporters after the company’s 1H FY2023 results briefing here today.

Paramount Corp Bhd said it expects to report stronger earnings for the second half ending Dec 31, 2023 (2HFY2023), driven by new launches and ongoing efforts to improve its return on assets.

The group, which recorded property sales of RM617 million in 1HFY2023, has planned property launches worth RM700 million in gross development value for 2HFY2023, on the back of stronger product offerings and recovering demand for home buying. Our earnings recognition and future cash flow will be backed by our unbilled sales of RM1.5 billion for the rest of the year.

Before pandemic, this company was being priced above RM1.20. Fast forward today, they are doing RM1 billion revenue (double of what they used to earn). What do you thing the appropriate FV should be? currently, its just catching up due to severe sentiment priced into the property sector

ROE increased to 5.7% in FY2023, from 4.2% in FY2022 and 2% in FY2021. With expected improvement in coming FY, ROE conservatively can achieve 6%. P/BV of 0.6x of historical BV of RM2.30 = RM1.38

Fantastic yield on your investment. I have received 35 sen dividends to date. At my cost price of RM0.90, recouped 38% of capital from dividends.

Paramount is one of the best dividend stock in Malaysia. Directors like to share profit with small/minority shareholder. Just check the given dividend will find it out easily.

Paramount up trend remains intact.
Q1 FY24 ending 31 Mac expected to earn 6 sen a share premised on unbilled sales 1.4 billion, to be announced towards the end of May.

We are expecting Paramount to declare 3.5 sen Final Dividend FY 23 by the end of this month (April).

As such, Paramount share price would move up gradually at least till the end of the month.

YTL & YTLP got big movement of going up last Friday, this Monday and Today. Long term, Paramount still a great company even if no declare dividend this few days.

According to what is written in latest Annual Report, only Interim and Second Interim dividends to declare from this year onwards. So 1st interim dividend will be declared in August and going to compensate for no final dividend for FY 23.

guys....read the AR, in fact this statement was announced before the AR2023!

For the benefit of shareholders, the Board of Directors of Paramount has resolved to adopt the practice of declaring second interim dividends, if any, as opposed to proposing final dividends, to enable shareholders to receive the dividends earlier.

Paramount next QR end of the month. Should report not less than 6 sen a share.
Since there was no Final Dividend declared, Interim Dividend to compensate for that, 6 sen dividend is likely to declare in August.

You want to wait for next QR report by end of the month, or you want to buy now? Your decision will make you make more profit or less merely depend on timeliness action.

Since the divestment of its education businesses in 2018, Paramount has been on the look-out for opportunities to participate in new business interests for diversification of its earnings base, both locally and outside of Malaysia, all of which are within its 2020-2025 strategic plan. It has, since then, invested in several start-ups in the digital space and has expanded its property development activities overseas through a joint venture with a developer in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Acquisition presents a timely and strategic opportunity for Paramount to accelerate its overseas expansion and diversification plan. It enables Paramount to have control over a sizeable stake of 21.54% in a well-established international property development company which is governed within the Malaysian legal and regulatory landscape that is familiar to Paramount. Currently, this opportunity outweighs all other opportunities available to Paramount for overseas expansion after taking into consideration the complexities of a direct investment in foreign property development projects.

In addition, the Acquisition provides an opportunity for Paramount to explore potential
collaborations with EWI and its management team to create synergies by leveraging on the respective expertise and experience of both parties as property developers.

Paramount exposure to EWI investment in effect amounts to only 70 million, after taking into consideration 100 million it will receive via capital reduction amounted to 500 million.

To hold a strategic stake with mere 70 million is worth the risk. More so after receiving the special payout, Paramount has 517 million EWI shares to play the market. Only Liew Kee Sin cannot afford to lose control of the company, so leave it to Paramount to operate as it so wish. Again maximum risk is limited to 70 million.

Believe Paramount share price will react positively on Monday.

EWInt up by 2 sen with big volume, so it is a positive sign for Paramount to move in tandem.

Very likely Paramount will fly later today. All ground work done and the catalyst is the 21.5% new purchase of EWInt.

Atwater residential towers all sold, result will reflect in Q1 by end of the month. More important is to see Atwater Commercial Towers almost ready and money is rolling in now. Anyone staying in PJ should be able to confirm that. Just passed by Atwater development on Sunday, all look so beautiful with glassy finishing touch.
