Cabinet gives nod for MRT3, to improve Pan Borneo Highway execution March 04, 2022 16:02 pm +08 KUALA LUMPUR (March 4): The Cabinet has agreed to improve the execution of the Sabah and Sarawak Pan Borneo Highway, and to go ahead with the MRT3 Circle Line, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said.
For Pan Borneo Sabah, the Cabinet agreed to continue the implementation of 19 additional work packages involving 367km across five years, Ismail Sabri said in a statement after the Cabinet meeting on Friday (March 4).
The government also agreed to undertake the Sarawak-Sabah Link Road (SSLR) and the Trans Borneo Highway Project. ?Priority will be given to local contractors, particularly bumiputera, to generate business and job opportunities for Keluarga Malaysia.
?This will spur growth and economic development, particularly the government?s objective to continue strengthening the economic sector and to generate 500,000 jobs this year,? Ismail Sabri said.
what pride left at this price, embarassment to the core, high time cmsb management should be answerable, not only to the stakeholders but also shareholders, they just cant keep quiet like this, its not a Sdn Bhd
chill guys, sarawak was given one of the highest state budget since last year. A lot of project will be announced very soon, most likely CMSB will benefit from all this.
Besides their OM sarawak is a heavy gainer despite raw material prices is moving up. Cement division will even make more money - increase in 10% and also government focus to complete pan borneo which more funds will be incurred soon
still the current price doesnt reflect the co s fundamentals, shareholders must bring this up in the AGM, N DIRECTORS OF THE CO SHOULDNT LET OFF SO EASILY
It is true. And you can see a number of CMS' key management has been absorbed from Scomi already. Now why would they specifically employ people from oil & gas (specifically Scomi) to head their management team? Only because they want to develop into an oil & gas player.
seems like a fake news, but so far confirm news is increase in 10% cement price, OM sarawak to increase production. I believe many more to come, especially tender award for CMS soon.
This has to be one of the most promising companies in the KLSE for the next few years. Most of the crude oil deposits in Malaysia are located in Sarawak and now that Sarawak has mostly taken back its mineral rights from Petronas, it could mean huge business potential for local Sarawakian oil servicing companies instead of West Malaysian Malay owned companies. The local Sarawakian people finally has their own opportunities to benefit from their local resources. No wonder the MD came back on board last year. I just don't understand why its share price has been dropping to this low level. Few believers yet, perhaps.
Oilfield services especially mud business which is scomi ,profit margin is low due to competition, lucky single digitv%. Make no difference if work is in Sarawak. If mud business n oilfield machining is good why scoimi bleeding? Very bad buy take over.
