if not mistaken, one of Mahathir's son is also involve. He is already part of the San Miguel Malaysia group. So, it wont be a surprise if the son is again at the helm, and with the dad as Petronas Advisor.
no wander the price keep on dropping. i trust my broker very much as i intend to sell at rm4.20. he ask me to hold until now. that time i bought was at rm 5.05.i wanted to sell again this moening he still ask me to on hold. i felt doubt. this is my first and last investment because i did not study the financial report, only a good and stupid follower.
i also trap at this counter...but i will keep it..currently petron staff are sending their crew to petronas refinery for training purposes..they are upgrading their refinery..
Those who bought @ $2.71 (on 09Oct12) and sold @ $3.10 (on 02Nov12) earned themselves a whopping 14% profit within a month!! Banks pay FD rates @ 3.20%pa (or 0.3% per month) only!! There's good uptrend potentials for this counter ....esp. when "the son" settled down with a prominent position 'up there'.
Mmm..formerly known as ESSO.Exxon Mobil sold it to San Miguel Group.Latest Q result shows profits 85.6m vs loss 37.8m.Resistance at 3.06.possible for uptrend.smile--)
no one looking at Petron? Lowest P/E amongst O&G counters. Can expect Oil price to surge upwards anytime soon. Owns around 500 stations, 2nd biggest player in Malaysia as compared to Petronas. Has plenty of potential, and potentially signing supply deal with Malindo come June 2013
yeah raydalio..the fair value shall be 3.30..hope they can do more promotion to increase their reputation. (most of my friend thought it was petronas's company)
i like it because currently no one is talking about it. not even analysts. this makes for a good buy. hold for medium term. wait for 10K results come March.
anytime fellow investor...thanks for highlighting this in the forum...with so many counters in bskl..i only hunt profitable penny shares of up to rm1,so tend to overlook oil n gas related counters above rm1. When i get my bonus soon, i will add petron as a potential mid term play...but i like yinson...so..it will be good to monitor petron and future financial results.
my job pays the household bills..but my business is share trading..where i get to be my own boss..formulate trading strategy..soaking up financial data, mktg strategy, procurement strategy,do a bit of financial engineerinh..best of both world...wish had discovered bskl when i started my first job as a lowly financial officer back in 1997.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
