if you are long term shareholder...remember the lower the crude price the better for refinery Margin and thus for PetronM

the drop price has a short term effects on stock loss

but, yup humans can never focus on big gains at a distant - long term compared to quick small gains in near term

Asia refinery margin jump to 2-1/2 years high !!

As long as the refinery margin stay healthy, one off stock loss is manageable. And if the margin can stay until end of June, I foresee another solid quarter results.

Dividend coming, but I cashed out. Usually not much activity at this time. Won't be going up too high too soon. Waiting for price of 7 to get back in. Those who want to hold can hold. It's the timing getting in and out. Good luck everybody. Looks like at 8.90 big boys cabut already. But don't know they are collecting. Good luck to all of us who believe in petron. Cheers

Petrom是提練油商,不是原油生产商.
油价下跌，肯定对原油生产商100%不利.
但是對提練油商就未必，50%有利50%不利.
是要看進貨的時間點準與否.

4月和5月大馬的零售油價还祘稳定，現在要看6月零售油價有没有大起落.

6月份已过1/3，我猜想4月到6月這个季度的利潤應該不會造成太大的影響.

2年前，Shell和Petron虧大錢是因為短時間內原油價格暴跌，从120塊美金跌至20多塊美金.

所以原油价格短时间之内的暴漲和暴跌是对練油厂不利的.

注意：暴漲與暴跌的意思.

Lower crude oil will benefit the refiners but it will cause inventory losses. However, the current recovery of RM is in petronm's favour. It's future is still bright.

Estimates based on my experience is that the share will trade in the region of 7+. However 7+ is still an attractive price if the quarterly EPS can be maintained around 40 sen.

美頁岩油噴發！下月產量料創空前高、未來續增2倍

美國頁岩油銳不可擋，估計下個月產出將打破空前紀錄，之後產量還會繼續提高，到了2020年代產出可能倍增至1,200萬桶之多。

ZeroHedge 12日報導，美國能源資訊局(EIA)估計，今年六月美國頁岩油每日產出為534.8萬桶，和2015年七月相比，出現兩位數成長。EIA估計七月份頁岩油產出將續增至547.5萬桶(圖表見此)，打破2015年三月歷史新高的546萬桶。

而這還只是開始，高盛表示，美國頁岩油的損益兩平成本價，每個月不斷降低，未來四年將追上石油輸出國組織(OPEC)成員，足以和產油成本最低的沙烏地阿拉伯、伊朗、伊拉克競爭(圖表見此)。高盛報告稱，2020年代，頁岩油產出將增至1,200萬桶。詳細來說，美國三大頁岩油產區(二疊紀盆地、鷹堡、巴肯)，加上Cana Woodford與DJ Basin，2020年為止每年產量增加80萬桶，2021~2025年間每年續增70萬桶。估計產出成長將在2030年左右觸頂。

高盛表示，面對頁岩油步步進逼，OPEC因應之道是讓油價長期處於低檔。但是沙烏地阿拉伯油品公司(Aramco)即將進行股票初次公開發行(IPO)，沙國處心積慮拉高油價，不太可能接受此種做法。

6月12日紐約商業交易所（NYMEX）7月原油期貨上漲0.6%、至每桶46.08美元。歐洲ICE期貨交易所近月布蘭特原油上漲0.3%、至每桶48.29美元。

美國頁岩油出現新突破，潛能或許更勝頁岩油主流技術–水力壓裂法(fracking)！蘊藏在頁岩淺層的重油，原本由於質地過於黏稠、岩層壓力過低，開採不易，新研發的技術不只能取出原油，成本更不到20美元。

OilPrice、Petroteq Energy新聞稿稱，美國德州的二疊紀盆地(Permian Basin)是美國頁岩油產量最豐富的地區，此區的Wardlaw油田蘊含1億桶原油，之前受限於技術，乏人問津。如今油商Petroteq Energy和Galex Energy Corp開發出新方法，能以低廉成本取得原油。

由於Wardlaw油井離地近，可採傳統的垂直挖掘法，每口油井開挖成本只需2.5萬美元，遠低於二疊紀盆地油井的平均挖掘成本500~933萬美元。不只如此，加上開挖之後的維護生產費用，每口油井成本也只要6.5萬美元，等於原油的損益兩平價為16.25美元，就算油價跌至25美元也能獲利(全文見此)。

I think if petron doubled the dividend to 44 sen. Which they obviously have the capacity and ease to do so, then this stock becomes undervalued yielding more than 5%.
