I do not like to play a share that i have no say how long i can hold.

I buy mother shares only, if drop i will buy more. If no gain, i can choose not to sell.

Trying to learn here on warrant price calculation.
Please forgive and correct me if I am wrong :)

CL Premium is 41.1% @ 0.13, based on current mother 12.72. This is equivalent to mother being 17.95 as the future prospect. Expires 21 Sep 2018.

CM Premium is 28.1% @ 0.15, based on current mother 12.72. This is equivalent to mother being 16.30 as the future prospect. Expires 31 Oct 2018.


The lowest premium is CA with Premium 1.7% @ 0.37, but expires on 22 Feb 2018.

*Note: My calculation has not taken in time factor for the depreciating value of warrants.*

So, would it be best to buy mother and leave out the warrant for now until the premium stabilize to lower range for lower risk?

Petronm share price is likely to be weighed down by its gigantic RM14B investment for expansion over the medium term. There's likely to be limited to no upside to its share price until the expansion is completed and works out as planned. If the share price performance of Petronm today and yesterday is anything to go by, we are already seeing early signs of uncertainty over its expansion being built into its share price. Meanwhile, Petronm share price would be very susceptible to any adverse news associated with its expansion.

Dividend payments are also likely to be suspended or reduced due to the massive need for cash to finance its expansion.

Also, if there's going to be a major or full shutdown of its refinery plant in connection with the expansion, question remains on where it's going to get fuel and diesel to keep its petrol stations running. The cost factor (esp shipment/import and storage) is a critical consideration here.

Those who are undecided whether or not to continue staying invested in Petronm or those mulling to invest in Petronm should take the above factors into consideration.

That said, people who are in for the long haul and have faith in the Management's business foresight and execution track record may choose to disregard these factors.

Please bear in mind that I am NOT saying expansion is dangerous or no good. In fact, it is one of the ways to grow a business. I am merely presenting some uncertain factors related to any expansion for consideration. It is not my wish to see any investor losing money.

Just focusing on the 14b, the interest expenses, the depreciation and its impact on the accounting profit
but not a slightest mentioning of how the fund is used, how it is raised, how much is the return and thr growth in earning it can bring to the company to indicate that whether the plan is feasible and beneficial to be executive, i feel that is a very careless, unfair and misleading write up.

Do you know how the fund is raised
Do you know how it is used
How the plan is executed
Do you know how much growth it will bring
Do you think the management of petronm are a group of dumb dumb, they did not conduct any due deligence or any feasibilty study before they embark on the plan
They do not see the impact on the near term accounting profit you mentioned
Do not forget market is always FORWARD LOOKING. befote the real profit is reported, the price already peak

is the earning sustainable ?
any more growth?
An earning just based on volatility of crack spread alone can survive long and does not deserve a high PE. No IB analyst dare to touch on this piece because no disclaimer is strong enough to cover you from the cursing of your grandfather later
