The odd thing is that the management still has yet to come out with an official announcement on the extent of the damage.
In the name of good governance and to prevent insider trading, information should be quickly disseminated as they are discovered. Issues like whether insurance will cover, how long before restoration, what was the cause - human error etc.
normally if there is fire damage involving critical control equipment, vessels, sensors....it will take weeks to get replacement items and months to restore the plant and place back in operation.
this of course will not affect the supply to the petrol kiosks...as they obviously have 3 months buffer storage..
but it only makes one worry more cause they (PETRON) were talking about if there is any impact to the petrol kiosks.
Looking at the minor price rise on Shell...looks like it will have effects extending to the petrol kiosks too.
Ha Ha, Brexit may not be final... See Next Trade about Brexit written by Alex Lu. A tactic by Cameron to appease Brexit supporters within his own party. The final decision may well be the General Elections in which this issue would be put before the voters again. This time the UK voters will vote Bremain.
Hi Angielim, maybe some i3 sifu can help us to understand better. I am a longer term investor. PE is low, I believe, the price will go up later. For now, I am just waiting for the dividends.
due to higher cost of production ie world oil price increase fr 35 to 52 between april may n june. on the other hand its selling price unchanged during that periods due to sarawak n state elections. I strongly believe this coming quarterly financial result will turn RED. rm3 next.sell lah b4 announcement of financial result
hi petronm team, can I ask is petron gas station under this company also, because I find out currenlty many user like to go petron gas station than others
Angielim - I think some of these Petron stations, especially the bigger ones with all sorts of facilities, are under PETRONM. You can check in its last Annual report.
ankahill - Looks like it. But why? Are they slowly liquidating their holdings... or could there be something else?
Mat Cendana thanks ,, I start collect sinec 3.70 , when I enter 3.70 I thought was bottom but seem someone like press down , But if petron gas station is under petronm I will no worry, gas biz is good and petron more good , pd factory start working be frankly my tp for petronm is 5.00 and above , so I will sapu if at this price too cheap , even get dividend also good good ?
this result will be a excellent resullts, petron gas station and store got many customers and petrol biz here only got petronas and shell and only, seem monoply biz, my tp for petronm is 7.00 ,. kenanga even higher than me :
It's clearly out of favour right now. But I think the sellers are mostly gone already. The next quarter results will be important. The sharp decline had been due to the numbers not being excellent, which investors had expected to justify the share price several months ago. At the same time, the results weren't really 'bad'.
I believe investors, especially institutions, will return. The dividend yield is good, and what other petrol-station companies are there on Bursa? Petronas Dagangan - high price. BP - part of a conglomorate (Bstead). Shell - only the refinery business, not retail. The price of crude oil, though important, is secondary. There will always be demand on the retail side.
At the moment there's not much liquidity with Petron shares. See the wide gap between the Buy and Sell quoted. And low volume. There will be significant price changes both ways; see-sawing but not really going anywhere. Everyone interested in it are waiting for some impetus. Quarter results, for instance.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
