Dow is tanking because of 10 yr treasury yield spiking up from September's 3.61% (just before Fed's first rate cut) to 4.79% just now. Surprising right? Fed already cut 100 basis but 10 year treasury yield super spike up by 118 basis. All Genting's long terms USD debts will be rolled over and interest pricing locked-in for a fixed number of years using the 10 year yield as benchmark. Fed cut rate but Genting's USD debts will be rolled over at higher rate. Those Genting long term USD debts were taken during ZIRP era when both Fed fund rate at 0% to 0.25%, and 10 year yield (average abt 2.2% during ZIRP era) were very low.
