When Tan Kay Hock, a golfing buddy of Prime Minister Najib Razak, was awarded the systems work for the RM1.1 billion Ampang light rail transit (LRT) line extension project in July 2012, it raised eyebrows because the company was better known as manufacturers and suppliers of water meters. Mr Tan denied his company, George Kent, won due to political links.
Now that his golfing buddy Najib is in hot soup over 1MDB’s RM42 billion debt scandal, will the prime minister expedite the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail project before getting the boot? Most importantly, will Tan Kay Hock’s 25-years of “friendship” with Najib helps George Kent secure the jewel of rail projects?
just checked gkent annual report page 13, lrt3 was budgeted at 9bil when awarded, now it becomes 17bil with 6% pdp fee shared between gkent and mrcb, you guys do the calculation.
beware of false reporting from IB. Almost all of them have conflict of interest, and their reports will always, always, always benefit them.
warrant is one of the issue. If the exercise price able to potong mother, who will lose big time? they will kill the TP to save million. Having said that, plan wisely. ..Happy trading :-)
the formula of a success story in business world in Malaysia is not what written in the business or management text books but the establishment of network with the HANDS of POWER. this has been the Rule Number One since 1970.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
