BEIJING (April 28): While mega infrastructure projects like the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) and Bandar Malaysia have been reinstated, there are no clear signs yet that the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) will have a similar fate.

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad told reporters at a press briefing that no mention of the HSR project was made by Chinese President Xi Jinping during his five-day visit here that ends today for China's Second Belt and Road Forum.

HSR is between Singapore & KL. So there's nothing to do with China. Singapore & Malaysia trade ministry agreed to discuss mid 2020.

MRT3或重啓‧成本料砍半

（吉隆坡4日讯）捷运三号线（MRT3）可能在成本砍半后重启。

《The Edge》财经周刊引述消息透露，联邦政府在过去数月和金务大（GAMUDA,5398,主板建筑组）洽谈以更低的价格重启捷运三号线。

双方正讨论将捷运三号线的成本从之前的450亿令吉减少一半，即大砍225亿令吉。

捷运三号线全长40公里，是巴生河流域捷运计划下的最后一条路线。

消息说，在削减成本之后，政府相当接受捷运三号线的建议。

另一个消息则指出，洽谈在持续中，可能在今年后期完成。

一旦尘埃落定，金务大可能寻求一位伙伴以协助进行此项目。

金务大受询时拒绝置评。

金务大和M M C机构（MMCCORP,2194,主板交通物流组）曾合作展开多项大型基建项目，包括联手设计和兴建巴生河流域捷运。

据了解，政府决定重启MRT3，其中一个原因是在推出100令吉无限次乘搭月票后，捷运的乘客量大增。

The way i see it, Although the government negotiated with Gamuda ... The project model is no more PDP, its Turnkey model, so Gamuda eventually need to find JV partner, due to funding restriction ... even 22.5b is too big for Gamuda ... Previous closest tender was Gamuda-MMC-Gkent
