but do remember also that their current mills and refineries are at 90% output already. profit remains on a plateau until their new refineries are up (which is what they are doing), and personally i think we can see marked improvement 4Q13 only. but we can always hope management surprise us with 2Q13 dividend then, as they have been back in the black last 2 quarters :)

KcLoh
Chart wise MFLOUR looks bearish to me if it is unable to bounce off 1.19. It may test 0.95-0.90 then. Sorry just from my technical view.
Ooi, what are your views.
By the way Kc , will MFLOUR face competition from PPB? I am not too familiar with this counter.

KC Loh

PPB (Federal Flour) and MFlour each has its own market. as of now. both are top two in this industry. Federal Flour will not serve Syed Mokhtar's Gardenia, that i am sure. So, each will have its own market segments! The time you should be worried is when MFlour informs investors that their mills are underutilized. Then that changes the fundamentals altogether!

I am ok where it comes to market gyrations. I try not to time the market more often than not! Of course, each has his own devices! :)

If you say that it can go down to 90 sen then it had lost 50% of market share! That's strange for flour shin is a neccedity commodity, don't you think do??
If its 90% capacity, still got 10% capacity and its still not fully taken up.... What's the real reason it's not going up? Is it also going to be privatized? Or politics behind this counter? Anyone?

KC , analysts busy studying the book, when they found a gem they will slowly stock up and shut up. When they have enough in hand they will write glorious reviews in an attempt to jack up the price and when ppl start paying attention and chasing after the stock , they will let go and laugh all the way to the bank. Just my 2 sen

Hi! everyone, my 2 cts on M Flour, Technically one can go in base on 2 indicators, i) it is oversold as shown in Stochastic of 11%; ii) possible fibonacci retracement to 23.6% and next to 38.2%. or increase volume (not at the moment). Don't expect a windfall as the 1st resistance stands at $1.31 and 2nd resistance at $1.36. Happy trading!

Their poultry and feeds divisions are always strong and most importantly, all three segments are recovering. Wheat is a suspect but if you are reading the PPB report, you get the sense that Mflour efficiency is very good. But that's just me, what to I know? I am only heckling street peddlers! LoL

Lets hope next dividends will inform Mr Market, MFlour is back!

the 2008 index is rife with sabotage and split, that is why market went down so sharply. Many are worried their ministers or kudas (as my malay friends will say) will not be re-elected. At that time too, the Kerala fella also did not support as per his own admission.

Wont be surprised when election is announced, market is up! just a hunch!

thanks tonylim, yes you are right, as usual! :)

hustle, yeah, everyone is waiting to buy, so market upswing is not an improbability! problem is, who is gonna win? market may go down just as fast if another scandal/controversy occurs

tankl1982, you should just buy on fundamentals and if you think its cheap (this is where the election play comes in to provide you the opportunity!). Then wait it out! if you hold to Fundamental theory, which goes something like this; "In theory is simple: a company is worth the total amount of cash it will generate over its lifetime, discounted to its present value." you have your answer. question is if you go for that theory or not? Most i see here are punters!
