Consume roti only meh ? I suggest you all consume more poultry products also under Dindings brand ( frozen nuggets, drumet, frankfurters, chicken balls, meat loafs, burger patty, fresh chicken parts, etc ) as well. MFM controls approximately 20.0% of the local poultry market.
So now, you can consume your roti with the poultry products.
hi investors, why is this counter your best choice/bet? what is your rational as the current worst drought in USA history for 57 years is pushing the wheat to a high of USD899 per bushel? is your estimation of the coming festivals will help push up the price of this counter MFlour by year end? or are you all gambling in your bets here thinking Mflour will climb again?
right noodleman?
i cannot answer, because i am holding shares here and its a conflict of interest!
Noodle Man : I didn't pick or bet on this counter. I just drop by to add some comments :) KC: Didn't know you are the worms inside Noodle Man's & I like your qualifying remarks.
KC Loh.... you dont have to answer them all the side story la.
Summary is : I never point a gun to ask you buy any stocks. And even if we did buy any stocks, dont you have to do your homework???
Time will tell if Mflour will turn around or not.... Many people buy share/stocks expect it to shoot up immediately or 1-2 days after... then go and bet football, 4D, Toto and magnum la.
In share it is about identifying and investing for a period of time. Not speculating. You speculate, yes, can make good money. But sekali you kena BAKAR.....HANGUS...
The official story was Robert Kuok needed an avenue to promote his Massimo bread. Syed Mokhtar's Gardenia tried to strong-arm MFlour not to provide the bread materials to Kuok. MFlour didnt want to get involved, but since Gardenia already on a standing arrangement with them, Gardenia just increased their order of MFlour's outputs. Mflour came out with few official statements that they want none of the fight between Kuok and Bulkhary. They will provide to Kuok if they have the capacity to do it.
Kuok, already on a regional expansion, decided not to have the risk. He bought over or/and build mills and refineries in Indonesia and Vietnam to safeguard their own supplies. With Kuok's financial strength and good standing with most ASEAN leaders, no surprise Massimo came in quickly into the market, whilst Mflour suffered from the negative publicity, with poison viral emails circulating. This is also cheap but effective marketing, pitting the Chinese to rise up against the now dearer Gardenia (i know this because my racially-inclined-to-all-things-chinese wife always tells me buy Massimo, not Gardenia hahaha).
honestly, Mflour management and that of Federal flour are on good term. Wilmar, as i understand it, even gave helpful suggestions to Mflour to expand their capacity into vietnam!
the rest, you all know already. I have been repeating about their progress like and old hen! nuff' said!
KC LOH : Special for you....PPB drop alot today. I smell Opportunity to buy in weakness..
Today I didnt buy Mflour bcoz for me no difference to trigger buy with a difference of 5cents. (I bought Mflour at 1.57) Besides I have to be very prudent as my fund is not more than 60K.
i am done with buying actually. now looking at exiting already. most of my stocks have done relatively well, and if the bull does indeed come, it will be bonus!
you hold at 1.57? i am at 1.59 and i still am optimistic! :)
Just let me go on record before the quarterly earning report comes out.
I anticipate that tthe MFLOUR will be in the black for this QE. They were having problems in capacity output as the official story earlier goes. That is why they spent to increase their capacity as per newspaper. With high margin squeeze due to El Nino in the states, wheat production as affected with the severest drought in 57 years. With limited supplies, prices for wheat went up therefore squeezing mflour's margins. This resulted a bad quarter last year.
With the recent cooler tide of el Nina now, I am assuming prices should trend downwards this quarter. Whether it will be reflected in mflour's this quarter earning, I dunno. But its a safe bet the next 2-3 quarters will be good unless another calamity suddenly occurs. MFLOUR business is also good seeing the chairman states is already over 90% production capacity. So fundamentally, mflour's business is not in tatters. It is ongoing very well limited to its small output only. In short, nothing wrong fundamentally.
If the price goes back to 1. 60 as I expected after the QE report, I am of the opinion, those who did not buy, its gonna be another miss for you all! I may be wrong, but I think I could state the facts as buffett said if one is gonna buy into stock of coca cola.
These are my reasonings and therefore buy only if you are comfortable and your reasoning concurs with mine. Otherwise, be on the alert.
Noodleman, OK? Boleh? Didn't want to reply, but nobody is helping him! Pity
WYQ89, If I not wrong the lowest on this moment is 1.49~1.55. The coming election won't much affected of this stock due to consumer products. If you want to collect must grab it now. Let's said the election is on Sep.. by the time will ard 1.58~1.65 base on my own homework study. Try to study on your own soon will get some bulb.
my FV and also TP at the end of this year is 1.77. next year is next year's cerita, but fwd PER should tell me 2.20 at least next year. I may be wrong. Failed form 3
Relax bro KC, now I3 members have 2options after checking FA, when got momentum we check TA, then sure jadi...............to yield the max results else tak jadi we ask what is missing in the puzzles.............if not I will consume more flour products... He he...
Malaysia indeed has the highest per capita consumption @ 35kg among ASEAN country. Not too worried fundamentally. kl foong will probably push it to 40kg LOL
i am not a warrants expert. you got to check with someone who is wiser about that. Never played warrant, never will! Don't like dark cloud hanging over my head with a deadline, unnecessary tons of reading and spot calculation! going for something i can hold forever, unless the company goes bust!
Hi all, I'm new here. Been holding bjtoto since 2009, nothing exciting except dividends but now seems like lots of uncertainties. should I jump from bjtoto to mflour now? Pls advice, thanks. ^_^
Hi monkey79 - BJtoto is defensive in nature, Malaysia will never face shortage of number punters & most of the recurrence revenue is derive from these hardcore punters.
So is defensive is MFlour - flour is the essential ingredient for most of our daily foods. In my opinion, flour should rank 2nd after rice(asian staple). Daily products we consume made from flour includes - bread ( roti canai, gardenia, Hi5, Massimo etc ), mee , instant noodles , cakes , biscuit, cookies , kuih & many more.
If I were you, I'll make a comparison between the 2 counters on the followings ( just to name a few ):-
1) Dividend yield & future prospect of the dividend 2) Future potential growth of the company - capital gain on the counter
Monkey79, If I was you...I will keep Bjtoto n buy Mflour. Wait until the right time. Mflour usually up & down to the position. It still target at 1.50~1.60 because the raw material price is high uptrend. KC Loh, your bowling ball will told us today. (^;^)
