it is said there is a bad drought in america due to a very very very very very bad heat, so it will affect america's crop production, so this is good or bad news for mflour?
horison, its bad.... that's why market's spooked. but drought is to last til september, or so my weatherman said. but hedge funds are worried soybean and corn may not have enough til first quarter of new year.
but Mflour last reported EPS is 75 sens! one of the highest in my portfolio other than CBIP (at 77 sens). That's why these two are my top two heavy in my portfolio. the reban ayam side and feeds is doing well and making the poor ayams over producing! they may need to look to the featherless type from China to strengthen further the cashflow! sorry ladies! hehehe :)
lols, so this will likely raise freaking much when they announce dividends ( if the div is still as high which i doubt ) and i agree on the earnings on raya and others have not been reflected in recent quarterly reports, those are Q2 anyways, Q3 will likely be better, or least expect good recovery
p.s. i will love mflour even more if they started the featherless chicken business :P
I was lucky to notice it, but I missed out at Oldtown & Supermx...sad sad. & got burnt by DRBHCOM-CJ. Think I'll stick back to what uncle Warren taught us: buy value stocks. Cheers, bro.
I just applied a bit only because not understand what's is Reit. Thus, I'm new don't have much money to buy more. :( If I applied online, usually how soon will know the result?
REIT is just a trust vehicle to park all the property assets. They are using REIT rather than parent company for
1) utilization of new instruments to raise funds/IPO rather than placing the burden on parent company's shares; 2) thus freeing up the parent's company's shares from (in some sense) financial obligation and they can concentrate on their debt/equity!
just another gimmick to raise easy money without further burdening or diluting parent company's shares in short!
oh...I see. Thank you very much. Your explanation is much more clear than I read those terms. But for the Accounting seem like a bit difference than usual right? So, good for fundamental stock or not. Because I just know those shopping mall but non of knowledge of property investment.
it has still little land around that area, i think they need public funds to develop it! so its a smart move. I think that's what they mean to expand further their space.
If you see their business model, the over subscription and the rental take-up, i think you got nothing to worry about. at the end, its all business!
and i think we need to move away from this thread, because it belongs to another counter!
ah... redeemable preference shares given to MFM for capital loan. basically a loan to MFlour. So long as no capital dilution, dont really care lor! hahahaha
preference share has the idea of payment in a fixed % usually. If a company defaults in payment, it means first claim to assets liquidated before others. But preference shares does not entail voting rights. that's the main difference between preference and ordinary shares!
so its basically a loan to MFlour until MFlour exercise its right to redeem it!
yeah, temporary blip in share price. Its an opportunity to buy in.
Usually market doesn't understand, and perceived it wrong. Hence, our inefficient market theory. time to be greedy when Mr Market is throwing a bargain in his manic fit! :)
Market got it wrong here. Its a loan from its subsidiary and the payback is back to its group eventually. They are doing this exercise to satisfy SC and usually shareholder's requirements for report!
If you can see it, its a statement of strength actually from its subsidiary Dinding (DPP). It means they have the money, and they are utilizing money well to fund their expansion as stated before in my previous postings.
When the expansion is done, they are on track with 5% market share gain. and with a ready customer in the al-Bukhary's stable of companies, you have a match made in heaven, at least where MFlour is concern. Still a solid defensive stock!
cant wait for future special dividends to the poor shareholders willing to wait them out! Not like Ingens' poor Mr Chin! LOL
Wat?? I thought kc loh is a lonely old man... Spend most his time in this nonsence forum, live in this forum, die oso in the forum n bcome a stock market ghost!!!! Well, he is oso a hypocrite.... In front of u guys, behalf like a god but yesterday he n another idiot talk bad about ppl n stab ppl's back....
welcome back ckinsg, you useless twit. I understand you lost a lot of money, hence your attacks on me! why so jealous people making money?LOL just FYI, I didn't say i am a god, so you are the one being presumptuous.
nonetheless i am happy to highlight again you are the biggest hypocrite that is back here time and again (well, almost everyday) if this is a nonsense forum. Have some decency and leave when the admin already banned you a few times! no shame ar? LOL
and for your claims that i am stabbing your back, i think you attacked a teenager first when she even said she did it in front of you (witness the Scomi thread). I didn't start the idiot rhetorics if your old eyes does not deceive you! you did! :)
SJSoon, I know I am in no position to advised you or anyone, as I am also just another ordinary Joe in Investment. Well, I bought alot too at 1.57. What I want to share is please dont let emotion overcome you especially when you invest ya. Please look at the company biz and TA, FA as well as other factor. I know not easy, but I can understand your feeling or jittery. Time is a factor here for Mflour to recover ya. I can see the company is doing alot of expansion and alternatives to ensure future income. I HATE to see you and any brother/sister or small retailer investor losing money and "kena" bully by the BIG SHARK, CROCODILE and HANTU. I am no saint, Just another Joe who wanted financial freedom.
my family fund also buy a lot in MFLOUR. by the way, i can recommend you hold for long term since the company fundamental is still good. food is a basic needs, so no needs sell and lose your money.
If I recall correctly, one of the reason the company made a loss before was because of stiff competition.
When I go to the supermarkets, I note that there are many brands of flour to choose from. Many are cheaper than MFM brand. One example is the 1Malaysia Flour.
In Kuching, I have yet to find the MFM brand of flour. I deduce that although food/flour is a necessity, consumers have a wide choice to choose from. MFM does not have monopoly over it.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
