Malaysia can't open is ok. Our MYR so low. Most of the revenue are actually contributing from foreign country. If US can open is more than enough. Of course need contribution from China as well.

Genting Malaysia casino still contribute 60% of GenM total profit pre-c19, if not mistaken. Anyway, 500M lost in a quester is not big problem for GenM. Q3 onwards should be black for GenM QR, hopefully.

It said Genting UK casinos reopened on May 17, 2021, after having been shut since Jan 3, 2021, whle Resorts World New York April 2021 gross gaming revenue has recovered to pre-Covid-19 levels and Resorts World Catskills' April 2021 gross gaming revenue has recovered to 84% of pre-Covid-19 levels.

Please bear in mind during Apr, US still has some restrictions and cases are still high, and also empire resort was loss making. Now their daily cases are dropping to low 6000 cases and going down. What are odds that genm US are reporting super profit on top of skyworlds opening at the end of the year. Yes,it will still lose money this year but hey it's looking good now. Genny will be opening the new Hatton hotel soon

One of this day, u will find its impossible to get to genting highland resort by car as i foresee when everythg is almost clear, the traffic jam will start from gohthong jaya all the way up to the resort. Lets wait and see…

GenM up +13 sen despite full lockdown in MY this time.
Likely due to Genting UK casinos re-opened since 17th May last month n from Resorts World New York City.

I think JP Morgan’s TP 4.0 by year-end 2021 could be achieved after October when PM’s vision of having majority of population in Selangor, KL, Penang and Johor vaccinated by then.

If you study the vaccination rate Vs the opening of casino in USA, you will notice that the opening is not AFTER 70% vaccination but earlier than that with staggered crowd and operation time. If genm cannot open for 3 months, what are the odds the rest of the hotel will collapse before Genting?

PETALING JAYA: Resorts World Genting (RWG) berkemungkinan akan terus ditutup selama tiga bulan, manakala pembukaan taman tema baharunya ditangguh sehingga Disember.

Ramalan Maybank Research itu senada dengan penganalisis Samuel Yin yang berpendapatan penutupan itu akan mengakibatkan kerugian kepada Genting Malaysia pada 2021, menerusi laporan Inside Asian Gaming (AIG).

RWG ditutup selama tiga bulan pada Mac tahun lalu dan sekali lagi selama 25 hari pada 22 Januari.

“Kami berpendapat bahawa RWG akan ditutup selama tiga bulan kali ini dan Genting SkyWorlds hanya akan dibuka pada bulan Disember 2021 bersempena cuti sekolah,” kata Yin yang dipetik sebagai berkata oleh majalah tersebut.

Walaupun begitu, Yin menganggarkan kerugian yang ditanggung tahun ini “masih kurang daripada separuh” daripada kerugian RM1.45 bilion yang dicatatkan tahun lalu, memandangkan pembukaan semula kasino Genting Malaysia di UK dan pemulihan hartanah yang kukuh di AS.

Yin berkata, Resorts World New York sudah kembali ke tahap pra-Covid sementara Resorts World Catskills telah 84% pulih.

Beliau turut meramalkan satu lagi pemulihan yang kukuh buat RWG sebaik wabak di Malaysia reda.

Bulan lalu, RWG berkata kasino di Genting Highlands ditutup sehingga diberitahu kelak berikutan pelaksanaan perintah kawalan pergerakan sekatan penuh (PKP 3.0).
