NATO broke its promise (to Russia) not to expand into Ukraine during the breakup of Soviet Union but NATO wants to do just that and that's why Putin is not happy.

power balance is what promise the peace. This is not related to sovereign state or not. Joining NATO means breaking the balance and there is consequences and price to pay for that.

i agree cheeseburger...................it is all about maintaining status quo. Why no war in Europe? Because of nuclear weapons. US, West, Israel, bully all countries with no nukes! one with nukes they wont push too hard! They NATO testing Russia. Russia is surrounded with missiles US bases surround China as well! who is the one who has caused most wars in last 100 ears? Guess...US and WEST. lets hope for good performance from Genting!

Turkey has the largest military in NATO...in Europe...they will not follow NATO for sure....US taken apart by freedom fighters in Afghan....should learn not to mess around, but US makes lots of money from war. It is war based economy. Nobody knows who makes money from Iraq oil...certainly not the iraqis!

US is actually a dictator which acted hostile against any country trying to overtake their position both in economy and military. They try all means the remain at the top by playing dirty. Economic sanctions and forcing allies to complied to their conditions yo suppress their foes likes China, Russia and Iran.
