hoyt, thanks for sharing. Say, u initially invested RM10K and the stock has gained 50% (gain is RM5K). Then you invested another RM10K at the higher price. Say, gain is now reduced to 25% (but the gain value is still RM5K). However you are investing more capital to get the same amount of gain. This is what bothers me with the averaging method. Pls help me understand.
