In my opinions , I don't think new government will divide TM's monopoly power to others before they have certain amount fixed income . It new government keep cut this cut there , divide their monopoly power , how can they pay the bad debt owed by previous government ? hahahahaha . anyhow just my own opinions , happy to share . please fix me if anything goes wrong . hahahaha

It is very easy to break tm monopoly. Just divide malaysia into zones, northern, southern, eastern & central, bordered by states. Then open tendered or. Gov can force tm to sell some of the regions to other telcos. Then competition can take effect in term of efficiency and cost.

even new gov wanna break the monopoly the new company also need time, need a very long time. Maybe there can rent those line or those wire from TM like what Maxis fix line doing. Conclusion is, monopoly business can be break, but not easy. New gov also not stupid, epf kwp fund all inside TM, even TM not not Pakatan enemy, no need to do that fast to kill TM.

bought some TM today. find the price is attractive. Furthermore, gomen announce 25% reduction but the price has been bashed down 40%? furthermore, TM revenue does not solely depend on broadband right? and any reduction will encourage more ppl to sign up and also those with another network will think of subscirbing to tm instead

TM will be the only telecom company in Malaysia.... a very high capex industry e.g. to set up the infrastructure, etc... small population, impossible to have more than one telecom , buy while others are fearful :p
