Are you sure the IDRP price is 65 cts ?. beco it say this
to elect to participate in the Reinvestment Option by reinvesting the entire Electable Portion in new Units at an issue price to be determined ("Issue Price") on a price-fixing date to be announced later ("Price-Fixing Date");
On behalf of the Board, UOBKH had on 10 January 2023, announced that the issue price of the new units to be issued pursuant to the 1st IDRP had been fixed at RM0.65 per new unit.
That have to see which counter you buy for dividend stocks. I estimate Hektar will give a decent dividend for 2023 owing to the recovery of retail businesses at their malls
AndrewHo93 For your information, Justmeme: On behalf of the Board, UOBKH had on 10 January 2023, announced that the issue price of the new units to be issued pursuant to the 1st IDRP had been fixed at RM0.65 per new unit
is this reit worthy to buy at 0.805? dont want a scenario where, buy now, after dividend payout, the price crashes.. At 5.3 cts x 2 times yearly div which roughly translate to about 13 % or let us conservatively say 9%, at 80 cts there about should be an attractive div stock and rated a good buy
Short term investors will definitely sell some after IDRP for a quick profit. So, I do expect some selling right after new shares get listed. For long term investors, I don't see price fluctuation as a problem. -------------------------- rahulsk1947 is this reit worthy to buy at 0.805? dont want a scenario where, buy now, after dividend payout, the price crashes.. :(
Assuming share price always take all factors into consideration, short term investors who want to sell should sell before ex dividend. Those who decide to keep should also subscribe the IDRP.
Justmeme: "At 5.3 cts x 2 times yearly div which roughly translate to about 13 % " I didn't get this logic....why times 2? last year total was just 0.0523 (0.02X * 2)

how did you get 5.3 cts x 2?
Hektar pay div half yearly now so I assume they will pay another one around mid year so that is why x2. Maybe a bit less in mid year but should be around there looking at the current results
It will be interesting to know how YTL Reits are faring this coming results announcement. They and Hektar are almost in the same sector. If they do well this confirm the sector are doing well.
YTL Reit is more engaging in hotel properties. In terms of retail-concentrated REITs, they are Hektar, Pavilion, IGB and etc. Refer to these retail-focus REITS are more accurate
